I talk a lot about two things: go-to outfits and denim. While not exclusive to each other, a lot of my go-to outfits include denim. Denim is the heartbeat of my closet; it’s the constant in my ever-evolving wardrobe. Many days I need to toss on my denim and what I consider my go-to — a blouse and jacket or blazer and depending on what my day looks like flats or heels. It’s the easiest way for me to look classic and chic.
For example, the morning we took these photos I needed to look pulled together for the day but also had a lot of desk work to be done. Denim is the first thing I think of when I know I need comfort but structure. I tried the new ‘built-in sculpt’ denim from Old Navy because I love anything with words like ‘sculpt’ in it where I don’t have to workout.  To my surprise, they really do ‘sculpt’ to my body but my favorite is that this denim doesn’t stretch out. (I stayed true to size in this denim but could go down one size and still feel comfortable.) I love when you can throw on an outfit and not think twice about it for the rest of the day. Guaranteed style? Yes please.

  1. I really am loving this look. I am a jean girl too. I have too many pairs but I think they put together any outfit. Loving that tweed blazer with the lace. I would never think to pair those two together and now I know I should! Also love the new look of the site!

  2. Hey, ever since you updated your site layout, your blog is no longer updating in my feed reader.

    1. Hey Zara! Thank you for letting me know — which feed reader do you use? We are trying to sync our RSS feed, so that would be so helpful.

  3. Oh wow, I don’t usually wear jeans much, but this outfit is really lovely with the jeans. I could imagine a skirt would go well with the rest of course 🙂
