No, I did not go to a garden party in this dress, but I could. I am garden party ready. I’ve just got to find some people who throw said garden parties because Lord knows I’m not going to plan and throw one. I am not and have never been a party planner. Birthday parties are my worst nightmare. I would much rather be a guest than a host which probably says a lot about me. (I don’t like to prepare ahead of time, I ignore all the small details and I hate cleaning up. Yep, my life in a nutshell.)  I also have no garden so this party is terrible already.
But the outfit I do have, so feel free to invite me to all of your spring parties. I will gladly show up and be the most appropriately dressed guest there. (Actually I will help you clean up. That’s only fair.)
PS: My favorite denim jacket this spring is 30% off right now at the J.Crew. Use code ‘SALETHERAPY’ at checkout.

  1. I feel ya! I plan enough events for work. By the time I get to my own stuff it’s like “just order pizza and get some drinks.” Love the outfit!

  4. I think I’m the only person who cannot do the handkerchief hem. It looks cute on everyone I see them on, then I put one on and it looks like I’m missing part of my skirt. Maybe I’m lopsided, lol. Ah well. Since you obviously aren’t cursed like I am, I’ll just admire the cuteness on you.

    1. No it’s not just you! I typically don’t like the uneven hem look but I think the rest of this dress just got me and once I had it on, I liked it! I think the length helps maybe? But it’s not just you! I promise 🙂

  10. A party in a garden is just asking for bee stings. You’re better off doing whatever it is you actually did in this dress.

Also, I have to say it…I feel like curved stripes below the waist are not the best idea because they create an optical illusion that you are with child. I’m sure it looked better in motion though. That is a criticism of the designer, not of you 🙂

    1. Baha that was a really nice way of putting it 🙂 I know what you mean sometimes with stripes in general though. Yet I’ve never met a stripe I didn’t wear. 😉

  12. So jealous of that dress!! It’s been sold out in my size forever. I keep going into Anthro in hopes that someone will have returned it in my size. No luck yet!
