I’m so used to the Texas heat that assaults you the minute you step out of your house, that I’m not used to this sneaky heat that exists elsewhere in the world. That’s how it was on the island, you’d think oh, this is so refreshing and 20 minutes late you were covered in sweat and confused as to how. I’ve come to the conclusion that both types of heat are offensive. I’ve also come to the conclusion that pony tails and buns are the key defense for summertime hair. If you can’t beat ’em, bun ’em. Said no one ever, but they should because it’s wise and catchy.
Have you heard of the brand Show Me Your Mumu? It’s an adorable brand that is run by two friends of mine who are just as adorable as their colorful pieces. I packed this Mumu maxi dress to be worn to the beach and such, but I ended up feeling so fancy that I wore it to dinner one evening. Multi-tasking maxi’s are a very good thing.
