I typically try to steer away from items that are almost sold out but this dress I just couldn’t pass up. It’s perfect for maternity and I know it will work after she gets here as well. That is why I’ve actually really liked finding pieces that can work for now and for later, it just takes a bit of creativity and a change of mind from what typically works for your normal body shape. For me, I usually love a-line dress or ones with a fitted waist. But I quickly learned those were never going to work for a pregnant body shape, so loose fitting or body-con (like this ASOS dress) work perfectly. This beautiful dress has the right amount of elastic in the middle that works perfectly as I round into my 8th month. (We are almost there!!)

I loved the paisley print on this dress so much, it doesn’t feel like anything I own. Plus it will work now and later. Can’t you just see it with over the knee boots for fall? Oh I can. I sure can. Since this dress seems to be selling out quickly, I also love this printed dress here and here. Thought I’d give a few options if you love a printed dress!

Fit Details

I always find that Chelsea28 fits a size too small, but perhaps that’s just me. This dress (non-maternity) I would probably have sized up one but I don’t love things to be too tight. It’s up to you on the fit! The chest and arm areas are plenty roomy.

Monthly Capsule Wardrobe

Each month I create monthly capsules out of my favorite pieces, perfectly curated for each month.

  1. So cute! I wish that there had been pretty maternity clothes back in the Dark Ages (22 & 28 years ago) when I had my boys. I wore leggings/loose tops for my second, and ‘tents’ for my first……….

  2. Cute!!
Although, I have bad news on the “it will work once she gets here” front. IF you do end up deciding to breastfeed, dresses are basically out.
