We moved to McKinney, a suburb of North Dallas, 4 years ago this fall to open our first boutique. I think that is why I love fall in this city so much, it reminds me of our first season here. (Plus we all know what a fall fanatic I am.) In the morning, I love walking around our downtown square seeing what’s new in everyone’s windows and grabbing a coffee at my favorite coffee shop. It’s so quiet and perfect in the morning — as if the buildings and shops aren’t quite awake yet. At night, B and I tend to stay downtown to grab a happy hour or meet friends for dinner. The majority of what we do — work and play — is in this 4 block radius of downtown. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

  1. McKinney is the best place in the world and I can’t wait to live there…3 more years! And, shop in your sweet store!

  2. Your day seriously sounds so perfect. It’s the little things like walking around in this beautiful weather with a coffee and meeting up for drinks. Love how you pictured this 🙂

Love how a hat can totally transform an outfit!

  3. OMG, how gorgeous do you look in this dress! But, um, is there any spare material in the hem? You know, in case someone wants to lengthen it just a little bit? 🙂

  4. I am LOVING the 70s feel this outfit is putting out there! I’ve been searching high and low for a similar dress this fall and I think this is the one!

    1. I’m in the medium here. It’s pretty loose fitting but I needed the length. I’d say it is true to size but very free people flowy. If you want more fitted, and don’t need the length, size down.

  5. This is one of my favorite recent looks from you. It’s such a gorgeous boho look that’s slightly outside of what you normally do, but I think it looks so natural on you. I love the darker toes on the boots.

What did you do to close the neckline of the dress? It’s VERY open on the FP site.

  6. Love these boots (& your blog in general)! I’ve seen reviews that said these run small. I’m in TX too so won’t be wearing giant socks with them and am worried that if I get a bigger size they’ll be too loose. Did you have to size up?

  7. Love it! Question, are you wearing the regular calf boots or the wide calf boots? There is 40% off the website today and I want to buy these with the similar looseness you have. Thoughts?

  8. First, I live in Argentina. That outfit, and especially the boots, overwhelms! It´s great! Loose and casual, but classy. Congratulations! Your attires fill me with joy. Kisses to you and your family.
