Mixing textures is one of my favorite ways to transition into fall. Fall is all about textures; tweed being number one on my list (quilted python being second, duh.). I picked up this tweed swingy skirt from Loft to transition into fall with simply because of the texture but I was quickly reminded that I love the shape of skirts like this. Flattering, easy to wear and easy to pair with pretty much any top. Basically everything you want in a skirt, right? Plus using textures is an easy way to cheat your way to fall, the shortest season of the year with the best clothing options. It’s why I drag it out for as long as I can.
Speaking of Loft, I’m keeping my eyes out for the blouse I posted on Monday. I haven’t found it yet online, but they do have this pretty dress in the same print. I check the site about every half hour. I’m on this for you. I’ll keep you updated, gumshoes.
Friendly sale alert: my favorite Rebecca Minkoff tote is on sale. You know I love a good tote and I  especially love when the ones on sale can easily go into the next season.  I will happily take this blush color into autumn, but if you’re more of a traditionalist the the black or khaki are perfect for fall.

  1. Girl. That tote is not just on sale, it is half off! Why do you tempt me like this?!

  2. Love it! It’s like a sophisticated schoolgirl sort of look! Hmm, is that apricot tote more pink or peach? I don’t know if my comp screen is playing tricks on me, b/c I’ve been eyeing their “apricot” colored items for a while but haven’t pulled the trigger on any since I wasn’t sure if it was more peach (which doesn’t look good on me, sadly)

    1. Man this is a tough call — I want to say it’s a bit more pink but there is definitely peach undertones. I mean apricot really is a good name for it tbh. It really is a pinky peach color, if that helps at all. It’s not blush, if that’s what you are looking for! 🙂 I hope that helps!
