These pants feel like cheating. They look professional and pulled together, but actually they are so stretchy and so soft I almost thought they were pajama pants. I’ve since verified that they are actually day pants, but that probably won’t stop me from sleeping in them. I love a good pair of pants you can fall asleep in.
Also can we talk about how these pants are from JC Penney? I ran in the other day to get some sheets  (they have the softest sheets ever, FYI) and walked out with these pants instead. I haven’t looked through their clothing section in a while but I had time that day and I’ve never been one to turn down an off-road shopping trip. Turns out I’m a fan. I found these pants and this top…and maybe this dress. And by maybe, I mean yeah.
Went in for sheets, came out with a new wardrobe. I’m resourceful, aren’t I?

  1. Oh these pants look so incredible.. Anytime you can wear soft pj like clothing and look professional, it's a win win in my book! JCP is pretty much awesome these days!

  2. How tall are you? I feel like you're pretty tall, so how do you get normal pants to fit? If they don't come in Longs I can never wear them. What are your secrets!? 🙂

  3. I'm 5'9"…these pants are actually pretty long, so I feel like they would be too long for a petite gal. I think it's because I'm very proportionate — my legs are long but so is my torso, so I can usually get away with regular length pants. Not all pants fit me right, I just show the ones that do on here 🙂 I think I just try on a lot of styles until I find a winner. Ha! Maybe that's my secret 😉

  4. I love how they look comfy and pulled together 🙂 Those type of pants are my favorite because they work for day and night, weekday and weekend. cute

  5. You should model for them…the current photo on the JCP site is NOT flattering…i would never buy these pants based on their photo…they look cute on you tho!

  6. What's your inseam? I'm so annoyed by websites that don't list measurements, JC PENNEY. >:-[

  7. I always forget about JC Penney. My bedding is looking pathetic so thanks for the FYI on the sheets. These pants look awesome on you and the 4th pic down, so pretty!

  8. That describes every single trip I make to Target. 😉 Love these pants!

  9. Kendi, my 75 year old mother reads your blog everyday and wants to buys some things you wear. Today she said she is heading to penny's to buy those sheets and maybe those pants.

  10. Love pants you can sleep in! Also, I've heard that JC Penney has one of the most rigorous quality/fit testing before brands can sell in their stores. So yey JC Penney? Yeah!

  11. Exactly. The best thing Target ever did was start carrying groceries….because the excuses to go there are very easy to come up with. 🙂

  12. I know right?? I had to look twice AND look at the item number to make sure I was linking the correct pants. But that is them :/

  13. Oh girl, I'll have to measure them. These seem to have a pretty long inseam, honestly. I'm usually like a 30" inseam in denim so….maybe these are like 28"? That's an uneducated guess though….

  14. Hi kendi, love what a cute blog u have. The more I get to know you, the more I like you. I know we could be great friends. You look like Audrey Hepburn. Your face is perfect. Have you ever thought of wearing bangs. I love how you look without them too, but bangs give such a soft look, don't you agree?

  15. Very pretty outfit. Love the peplum top with those printed pants.

  16. Hey, when you see it, you gotta get it. Otherwise you'll be kicking yourself later! I've been pleasantly surprised with Penney's lately, got a gorgeous maxi dress kinda like the one you picked up. It was my shopping unicorn – last one, in my size, in the perfect minty-teal color. 😉 Their Claiborne line is pretty great for office pants and skirts too.

  17. Hahah, I have the same problem. That's why I can't run into Target anyway. "I just need a pair of socks" quickly turns into "how did my order end up totaling $100??" This is an adorable outfit–love those pants (AND THAT BAG!). Adorable.

  18. I always wondered how you could be my height and still find pants at places like Old Navy and Target. I pretty much gave up shopping for pants at cheap places a decade ago. 🙁

  19. I must say, I took your sheets recommendation, and I will agree, they are the softest sheets I have ever had. Unfortunately I was not as lucky finding clothes and left with only the sheets!
