Do you ever pat yourself on the back for buying a certain piece in your closet? I was a bit unsure of this skirt when it was first purchased because it’s so full, so high waisted, so midi AKA so many things in one skirt that it could potentially be intimidating. But I’m so drawn to it. It makes me instantly feel put together, classic and girly all at the same time.

Get this ridiculousness: I almost packed this skirt for Europe. Now this would not be ridiculous is we went to Europe for a weekend trip just to mosey the streets and take photos. But we were walking miles every day, sight seeing / wine drinking, constantly on the move. I’ve made a promise to this skirt that one day I will take it to Paris and I will photograph myself on the streets in all of this skirt’s glory. But for the sake of hauling around a 40 lb suitcase through three countries, thank goodness I did not take this non-essential. Speaking of packing, I am almost finished with my what to pack for Europe post! It’s actually quite weird being so bossy and telling you what to pack. But I’m pretty good at being bossy, so I’ll push through. Hopefully it will be up this afternoon / evening, I promise. And if not, well then it’s true — I’m terrible at keeping promises.

  1. Beautiful! That's a great skirt! But I'm glad you opted for comfort when in Europe. There's so much to see and do! You can't worry about staining a beautiful white skirt! 🙂

  2. Gorgeous skirt, and I'm so sad I missed out on it! I'm very excited to read your 'what to pack for Europe' post because I'm going in about 4 weeks and am a chronic over-packer as well. 🙂

  3. oh, this look would've been perfect for paris. i'll just imagine the eiffel tower if behind you instead of that tree 😉

  4. Yours looks so much longer (and more flattering) than the one they're selling now in light blue. Bummer

  5. Okay as nerdy as this is going to sound, I am fascinated by what to pack posts. I'm always looking to pick up some nugget of info I hadn't thought about. So don't look at it as bossy, look at it as a public service announcement. 😉

  6. This outfit is soooo me, I would wear it in a heart beat <3 Perfection!

  7. I think that skirt is GORGEOUS and I wouldn't have hesistated to take it to the till – looks amazing on you. Those shoes are very cute also x

  8. 1. That watch somehow completes this outfit. KENDI, you're a god.
    2. Basically holding my breath for this what-to-pack-for-Europe post. We're going in November (= cold) but STILL. I will take all the advice I can get.

  9. LOVE this outfit!!! Midi skirt for the win! It's totally perfect for Paris too, but maybe not on the whirlwind trip. This is what I always struggle with when I pack for trips. I get these "ideas" about great outfits in cool places, but the reality never works with that….especially when you get sweaty and gross travelling!

  10. Very cute skirt. Sometimes you just have to see it on with your current clothes to see how it's really going to work.

  11. Loving your skirt! It's great that it's so versatile and playful. Paired with a bodysuit and silk scarf you could really play on the vintage Parisian vibe!
