It’s a short week and I’m already feeling confused. Lord knows I love three-day weekends but man do I feel it the next week. I’m already feeling rushed through this week and it’s only Tuesday. I’m a girl who likes to take Monday’s seriously and really get into the groove of the week. I have my Monday plan every week and of course, yesterday I skipped it because I’m nothing if not a good time. So now Tuesday is here and I’m missing my Monday startup routine for the week. I’m gonna need a few cups of coffee today to make up for yesterday.

Isn’t this chambray dress just lovely? It’s from Joie and it’s on sale at Nordstrom with their Half Yearly sale! It’s 40% off which means it’s under $150 which is a steal for Joie! I love this brand, such great quality pieces that last year to year.

I went a little rebellious and unbuttoned the bottom two buttons of this dress to give it a more flowy fit. I know what you are thinking — “Whoa, Kendi! You rebel!”  So scandalous, right? This dress is a straighter fit with all the buttons but with a little breeze and a few buttons let loose, it feels a bit more casual. I also paired it with a slim belt to try that look and really liked a slim belt with it, but eventually just chose to go without. A belt is a commitment and I wasn’t ready for that next step in our relationship.

You can find this steal of a dress here! And the full Nordstrom sale here.

Fit Details

The dress is more fitted in the middle at the waist but fits normal everywhere else! If this is a deal breaker, size up for more room in the waist. I’m in my normal size, medium.

Monthly Capsule Wardrobe

Each month I create monthly capsules out of my favorite pieces, perfectly curated for each month.

  1. Joie is one of my favorite brands. They’re basic but not in a pumpkin spice latte sort of way. Also, love the dress without the belt. I can see it looking good, but I think you made the right choice. Especially with that easy breezy double unbuttoning that you did.

PS: You’re not helping me stick to my spending hiatus AT ALL.
