I wore the hound out of my last pair of over the knee boots and this year I wanted to update my look with a lower heel. I was eyeing these Stuart Weitzman over the knee boots from afar because I love the classic look of the suede and low heel. But then I stumbled upon these Dolce Vita ones that are so similar and half the price. Boots and booties are some of my favorite investments for winter. They can last for seasons and I wear them all the time in cold months. ( I will tell you that these are very much over the knee. I’m tall (5’9″) and was impressed by how much they covered my knees, so if you are a tall girl struggling to find a tall enough pair this might be it! They are also stretchy, so you don’t have to have teeny tiny calves or legs, as you do with some tall boots.)
Speaking of updates, I’m always in the market for an updated striped tee. This striped tee is actually a tunic and its the best. It’s from Old Navy and it’s a must have basic. Of course you know my thoughts on stripes — stripes on everything for everyone at every time! And it pairs perfectly with my faux suede skirt. Suede can be tricky to pair things with — the more basic it seems, the more classic your look. Because the truth is you can go wrong with suede sometimes, but you can’t with stripes. Stripes forever and ever and ever, amen.
