I’m already in holiday dressing mode although I’ve still got one more day until Thanksgiving. No, not the sequins and tulle skirts kind of outfit (which I love), no I mean the lounge all day at your parent’s house while stuffing your face and napping kind of an outfit. The skinny jeans, oversized sweater and t-shirt fare. You understand, right? No one needs to eat mashed potatoes in sequins. No one.

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving break, friends! I will be celebrating with my cute husband and my family and that’s right — mashed potatoes. I’m sending my love and thankfulness to you this week. I’m so grateful for being able to share my silliness, life and outfits with you guys and that you share your life with me, too. Hope it’s a love and fun filled day tomorrow for you, wherever you are celebrating.
Here’s to napping on our parent’s couch and raiding their fridge. Happy Thanksgiving, friends 🙂

  1. I love absolutely everything about this outfit! It's very much a lounge around the house but still feel like I put some effort its my appearance, look. Have a great holiday!

  2. Those booties are so cute! I don't usually do 4" heels, but you look comfortable. Do they feel very high? Can you walk a mile in them? (That's my commute, so I have to ask.)

  3. So yes, it's a pretty high heel. Not so much to walk in because booties are pretty easy on the feet anyways, but I do notice my knees feeling the heel height if I've stood or walked a lot during the day. I consider them to be just as comfortable as my other booties perhaps not as cushy inside, but comfortable. Like I don't want to take them off immediately when I get home. But again, I'm used to this heel height and I don't commute! So my verdict would be they are great for medium active days (for me this is desk work or just a general work day) but maybe skip if you have to commute far and aren't used to 4". I hope this helps!

  4. happy thanksgiving! I'm in Japan and just forgot about it:/ I'll be missing that good old friend Mashed Potatoes today:(

  5. We don't celebrate Thanksgiving in Norway, but as I love everything the holiday stands for — and can't say no to days of eating and lounging — I think I will start celebrating it in 2015. I need a year to figure out how to cook a turkey and make all the trimmings… Have a wonderful holiday with your loved ones!

  6. This outfit. So gorgeous. I adore the colors; I would never have thought of pairing the t-shirt with the cardigan, but they look lovely together, and your lipstick is perfect too.
