I am pleased to say that my intense packing plan worked out. Did I work on this packing plan for longer than I’d like to admit? I did. Did I create a canva tool for you to also use to pack? I did. All worth it when you open your suitcase and every outfit just works. There is nothing better in my opinion.

We went to Lion King this night and girl, let me tell you. Not a dry seat in the house — mainly because I wept through most of it. I’m a sensitive sally anyways, but Rafiki and the chorus line hit me with that first song and I was OUT. I was wiping away tears and trying to keep Gemma in her seat. We were in the mezzanine and she was able to see everything (they come through the audience during the first part!) It was an incredible night that I hope she remembers forever. Honestly I wish we could go back tomorrow, there is just something about New York, you know?

I packed this dress to wear and I’ll be honest with you — I was overdressed for a Wednesday night performance. But you know me, I never mind an overdressed moment. But during a heatwave in NYC, if you wanted to just wear something a touch more casual to a show, I think you could. As for me and my house, we will overdress.

10 out of 10 on this dress, it’s gorgeous and even more regal in person. It’s a lot of fabric, with a lot of movement. It’s comfortable and overall I just felt confident. As far as sizing goes, I’m in the large but it’s too big. I’d go medium next time! It’s looser overall, so size down if in between sizes. Find it from Anthropologie here!
