Happy Nordstrom Anniversary day! For those who celebrate, of course. If you have a Nordstrom Card and you’re an Ambassador today is your shopping day! I think everyone can shop by this weekend as well and honestly? I think there will be a lot of stock left this weekend. So no worries there, plus I found some hidden gems that a lot of people are missing, if I do say so myself. Now my store had a limited amount of inventory but I found some great pieces. Only linking my highly recommend here!

Find the sale live and my guide over here!

Paige Anessa Wide Leg Jeans + Lace Top

This is my number one denim pick! I love this pair of Paige jeans – and yes, they are worth the hype. They are high rise, which means they’re forgiving at the waist, very stretchy with lots of structure to the denim and a great length. I am in the size 30, my TTS.

I loved this top! It does run a touch loose, so don’t size up! I would be just fine in a medium. This is the size large. plenty of wiggle room / length! The top is fully lined, so there are no see-thru bits and it has buttons at sleeve cuffs and the back of the neck.

Paige Anessa Wide Leg Jeans

This is the same pair as before but the fabric is a touch more pant than denim. A soft brushed feel, lightweight but sturdy. They are high rise, which means they’re forgiving at the waist, very stretch with lots of structure to the denim and a great length. I am in the 30, my TTS.

Oversized Tee + Reformation Wide Leg Trousers

I love this cotton tee. It’’s exactly oversized which is exactly what i am looking for these days. I went ahead and grabbed the large, just in case and it’s perfect.

These are the Reformation trousers and I love them! They fit better than the Madewell trousers, I’ve tried to make work forever. They fit slightly snug at the waist, but true to size. The fabric has a nice weight, so it drapes well too. I am in the 10.

Favorite Daughter Cropped Jacket

Oh boy did I love this jacket from Favorite Daughter. It is a cropped trench jacket in a deep navy plaid. Once I saw it online I had high hopes and they proved true! Online they show it tied up but I loved it open and loose, honestly. (I also forgot to tie it up so here ya go lol.)

Fit is a bit oversized and it’s not as cropped as I was expecting. i’m in the medium here, very roomy in here!

Madewell Melody Smocked Dress + Sam Edelman Trench Coat

The Melody Smocked Dress is one of my favorites from Madewell. I find them really easy to wear, even with a rounder tummy or waist. The smocking is very curve friendly! very forgiving. This one is the ‘mini’ version, but I don’t find it to be that short. I’m in the large, TTS fit for me!

I was thrilled when I saw this jacket in real life! It’s so cute, matches the dress well and it’s giving a Mary Tyler Moore vibe! It runs true to size, I grabbed the large and it fits perfectly for me with room to layer. It’s a trench fabric, fully lined. As far as warmth level would be through fall, early spring, especially for Texas.

En Saison Cotton Poplin Dress

I’ve been loving this silhouette of dress lately. I find it so flattering and equally easy to wear. I’m in the size large, I do find that it runs a touch generous but overall it fits me really well. Especially in the bust! The middle part has an adjustable waist as well. It’s a drawcord, which seems kind of odd for the style of the dress but once it’s on, it makes sense and you don’t notice it. Under $100!

Zella Activewear Dress

I’ve bought this dress a few times I will admit! Look, it’s a really comfortable dress, lightweight for summer. Plus, it has a built-in bra which is nice! The bra is quite tight so it acts like a push up bra for me lol, so keep that in mind with sizing.I’m in the medium (should have gone with a large!)

Zella Pullover + Vuori Villa Shorts

I had this Zella little pullover on my wishlist and it checked out! It is darling – kind of a light neoprene like fabric. lighter weight than i was expecting, which is nice for texas. I picked up the large instead of the medium and love the fi. It’s slightly loose, boxy and a touch oversized.

This pair of shorts are the Vuori Villa Everyday Shorts. I really love the fit of these! They don’t have a very wide waistband, which is kinda weird but in a new way. Very loose fit, very lightweight and no liner which I appreciate at this point of summer. The leg opening is quite loose as well.

Pullover | Shorts

Here are the shorts with just a tee, for inquiring minds. I am in the large of the tee – it is a touch sheer. What I love most about it is that it’s very, very soft! It feels like a tee I have from lululemon, almost an exact dupe. ! love tops like this, loose and light.

Vuori Modern Joggers

Oh the very famous, very fabulous Vuori joggers. Now look, they’ve updated these since i’ve last bought them in 2022. The waistband is now skinny, but still a drawstring and the length is a lot longer! They used to hit at the ankle but these come down a touch longer. I like to size up for maximum looseness, so I’m in the large. Lightweight fabric with a hint of stretch, year round perfection. the softest pair of pants you’ll own.

Vuori Relaxed Hoodie

I love anything I’ve bought from Vuori, so finding it on sale is a treat! I am in the medium of the pullover but honestly,I would go with a large for my own personal fit preference. I like my hoodies to be very roomy. The inside is very soft and it’s really well constructed.

Pistola High Waist Ankle Denim + Madewell Poplin Top

I didn’t plan to try these jeans on but I am so glad I did! I saw them on the rack and loved the rinse. I’m a sucker for faded black denim. I wasn’t sure of the shape on these because they’re a touch wider at the hips and the have a tapered leg. But it turns out, this is a straight fit with room for hips. The waist is a touch snug on me, but overall tts. I am in the 30’s, they are slightly cropped on me at 5’9”. They have a touch of stretch as well!

I love a good basic button down and this one has a great weight to it, but it’s also a relaxed fit. It’s a thicker poplin cotton, with structure. The sleeves have a wide cuff and it looks like it’s a slightly wider cropped cut, but I think it’s a regular length once I went back and looked at the listing. I am in the large but would go with the medium. It runs quite big, so I would suggest a size down.

Mother Kick It Jeans

I have a similar pair from Mother and really love the fit. They are very stretchy, so you could size down! I am in the 29 here for example, when I’m a pretty standard 30 in denim. This pair is more of a bootcut than a wide leg, which I found incredibly flattering. They are a great length, could be too long for petites just a thought though. I’ve not been petite since 1995.

This AllSaints top isn’t on sale sadly (Forgive me,  I grabbed it on an adjacent rack and thought it was!) But it is very cute! I am in the US8, fit is loose and true to size.

  1. It’s smart to head in early if you’re an Ambassador, but I’m curious—do you think waiting for the public opening actually results in better markdowns on core items, or do the best pieces just sell out before then?

  2. I really enjoyed reading about your Nordstrom Sale experience—it’s so helpful to get a real person’s take before diving into the chaos. Your tip about heading in early as an Ambassador makes total sense, and I can imagine the best sizes disappear fast. It also reminded me of how tools like Manga Translator save me time when I’m trying to read foreign comics about shopping hauls—they make everything clearer. I’m curious if you found any hidden gems this year that weren’t on your radar. Thanks for sharing your honest thoughts; it makes me feel more prepared for my own trip!
