This post is apropos because I am currently on an airplane. Am I wearing these pants? Regrettably no. (I am wearing these however!) But this is the Madewell Travel Pant and I concur completely with their name. This is the softest cotton pant and the drawstring waist is perfection. I feel the way about elastic and drawstring waists like I did pockets for the first time. The freedom, the privilege, nay — the honor of having an adjustable waist. I also applaud Madewell for making a patterned, drawstring pant that does not resemble pajamas in any way. They said it couldn’t be done (old navy) but they did it (Madewell.)
I paired these with my trusty Gap tee, a favorite from last year. I’m even thinking about grabbing another one this summer, just because I wear it so often I could rotate them in and out of laundry days. I figured these pants make the statement, so I better let them speak. A white tee is good for that and mainly the reason I wear it so much. It lets the rest of the outfit speak, while being a great listener. You can find my tee here, by the way!
I’m in the medium of the pants, but they run slightly snug at the waist for me. I would prefer a large for extra comfort, extra roominess! Find them under $100 at Madewell here.
