{Shop: Jeans, Boots}

I hereby interrupt your weekend with a quick post. I wanted to keep up with the ol’ 30 for 30 and since I showered and got dressed today (this is an accomplishment for a Saturday) I thought it should be documented.

I only wore this for the first half of the day, as it went from 35 degrees to 70 within a few hours today. It was a beautiful spring day in December. I mean people were swimming outside at the gym today. (OUTSIDE!!) I’m slightly tempted to stick my head in the freezer and just pretend that it’s snowing.

And with that, I’m off to talk my husband into watching as many chick flicks are he can stomach. Wish me luck.

Happy weekend, friends.

And PS — Morgan, you won the Linkel giveaway! Come on down and claim your prize by emailing me ASAP!

    And I have been searching high and low for a good sized cross body bag to take to Europe. I never thought of Urban Outfitters!

    Clasically Fabulous — My jeans are a pretty skinny cut, so I don't have any trouble slipping on my boots at all. I've tried before with boot cut and that never works for me, it's also too much fabric to tuck in. I've also tried with just straight cut jeans and not skinny, and that works better but not quite as well as skinny.

    With that said, skinny jeans are the best cut to tuck in but if you have a straight cut, you can roll them just a bit and tuck in any extra fabric, making them tighter then slip your boots on! That should work…

    Kendi, you look super cute. I love your bag! I have been looking for a similar satchel that I could just throw everything into, including my 15" laptop. Would your satchel fit a laptop? If so, when did you get it from UO… think they'd still have it in stock?! I can't believe how hard it's been to find a cute cognac satchel big enough to fit a laptop… you wouldn't think it would be that hard right? Well you'd be wrong!

    Thanks for sharing your outfit, love the effortless casual style!

    I've really enjoyed seeing how you've remixed your 30 items. I've thought about trying it myself.
    How do you pick your 30 items? Do you choose a color scheme? Do you start with one favorite item and go from there? Do tell! Please!

    Kate! Yes — the bag fits my laptop 13" very well, so I'm sure it could accommadate two more inches. However, the bag was a Christmas gift two years ago, so I'm positive it's not in stock any longer.

    Have you looked into Cambridge Satchel Company? They are kind of pricey, but super cute and I believe that they fit laptops of all size. Google it and it should come up!

    Mareyeb — Generally I start with my favorite things and then go from there. I usually start with about 40 items then start parring down to get my 30 (shoes are the hardest to elminate, I usually pick out way more than I need.) Although I try to coordinate color most of the time, I like to have a range of colors so that I don't get bored throughout the challenge.

    And Kitty — I agree! A backpack of that satchel would be magic!

    Kendi, I absolutely love this look! I’ve been trying to get a hold of some nice leather Steve Madden boots for a long time. After seeing your post, I actually just ordered a pair of the exact boots you’re wearing. They look extremely comfortable, yet very classy. They come in a few weeks unfortunately, but I think it will be completely worth it. Thank you so much for the idea!
