Around our little square in McKinney, Christmas decor has started popping up in windows alike and whispering through radios while strolling on sidewalks. While I am staunch believe in no Christmas until after Thanksgiving (it’s my favorite holiday ever — no gifts, just food), it also reminds me that the best season is upon us. No, my friends, not Christmas season, but Coat season. That magical time of the year when outerwear has not only a place at the table, but the first chair. I use to pick whatever coat I had available to toss on but now I realize the power of outerwear when it comes to style — you tell a story with you clothes, why not your coat too?
As I started looking for an updated everyday coat this season, I fell in love with this grey Ralph Lauren coat. It feels classic and timeless, which is nice to keep around for the cold seasons to come. I also love that it looks good open or buttoned up, layered or alone.
