This is one of those weeks that on a scale of 1 to ‘would you ever do that again?’ it is a definite 9.5. I think everyone does this with moving — it’s exciting at first! As you slowly pack up a few things here and there and feel accomplished that you have boxes packed! The self-assurance starts: Look at you go, you moving pro you! You should start a packing company you are so good at this! Then comes the actual move and somehow the things you thought were packed have actually multiplied and hid in closets you didn’t even know you had. You’ve run out of boxes and time. And now you want to set fire to everything left. (Luckily after my coffee today, I put down my torch and finished packing the rest. No fire needed.)
Going between the shop and moving this week has felt equivalent to being on a stage doing quick costume changes and if I’m being honest probably just as dramatic. It’s funny to me that after a few days of being in workout clothes, I’m ready to get back in my heels. Heels and dresses make me feel like I can get things done. It’s also a great excuse to use and say ‘oh, I can’t lift that’ *points to heels*. The heels win again.
This sweet dress from ChicWish is an absolute favorite. Oh and it’s actually not a dress — it’s a top and a skirt. You know how much I love matching separates. And I like that it’s a crop top without actually being cropped. I tried so hard in these photos to show that it’s slightly cropped, but it actually just looks like a dress. It’s sneaky like that. Good luck with moving! It is always stressful and sometimes I wish everything else would slow down so I can finish with the move. HA! Glad to hear the packing is done!
