This week B and I packed up and headed to Las Vegas for our buying trip for West & Lou. This will come to no surprise to you but it’s my favorite thing to do for the shop. We go twice a year and after doing this for 4 years for two different stores, it’s become such a fun tradition. It’s also nice that I get to bring my husband / business partner / perpetual coffee date along. He didn’t know what he got himself into when he married me all those years ago. I think he’s good with it though. I’ve never asked. Maybe I should, just to check?
I packed this pretty maxi dress to come along with me. It’s the perfect dress for traveling — I can make it casual or dressy with sandals or heels. I used to worry so much about what I was wearing, what to pack, etc. when we would come to market but these days I’m all about comfort. When walking around for 6-8 hours a day, comfort is key. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still wearing heels but other than that I’m comfortable. (These booties are pretty darn comfortable though. Also when I was buying these someone called them shoe-ties, because they aren’t quite booties. Try as I may, I’ve never been able to get behind that product nickname.)
