When I’m lost for outfit ideas, I always reach for chambray. It’s classic, easy to wear and goes with everything. This includes sneaks, which lately is what I’ve been grabbing for busy days. For example, if I’m merchandising the shop or steaming new clothes in our backroom, it’s hard to do a lot of those tasks heels. This I’ve learned the hard way. Best way to get your feet to hate you in an hour or less? Steam clothes in heels. Those heels will come flying off within minutes.
I added these Jack Purcell sneaks to my flats collection this spring because I liked the neutral grey shade and I’ve been eyeing this type of sneak for sometime. And plus my white Converse need a break every once in a while. These are easy to slip on and go but still looks put together. I was in between the grey and the blue version, but in the end the grey won me over. Grey pretty much always wins me over every time.

  1. How crazily well do your shoes match your shirt?! It’s weird, but my eyes tricked me into thinking they were the same shade of blue. I’m 100% with you on the sneaks. Everyone in London just carries their “good” shoes in their purse and walks to work in sneaks!

    1. They are a definitely blue grey! But I thought the same thing when I saw the photos! I think that if I lived in a commuter city I would do the same thing. Here in Texas we don’t wear shoes out quite like New Yorkers do 😉

  2. So lovely! And so perfect for Friday… I recently got a pair of Superga sneakers, heard of them? I’m usually the person in flats or heels, so when I bought them, put them on and paired it with a moto jacket… I felt so out of my element, but chic! I love how these are incredibly chic and low how you styled them (especially with the pink bag)! x

  8. This is such a cute casual outfit! My kind of everyday wear 🙂 Except the white pants, I can’t do white pants being so clumsy and having a baby haha. I just admire them on others who can wear them 🙂

    Have a great weekend!

  10. I love the slip on sneaker trend. Does anyone have feedback or advice on whether they would make a good walking shoe for a European vacation involving a lot of walking?

    1. I think so. I would maybe wear liner socks with them just so that they don’t rub (as all shoes tend too after walking for hours) but they are comfortable to wear all day long. And I would size down at least a half size in these. They are plenty roomy! I would definitely scotch guard them before I go though, since they are canvas.

Also a tip I received that was super helpful when we went to Europe last year was to change your shoes out every day. So if you wear these sneakers one day, wear a different pair the next, and then pull these out again and so on. They said alternating shoes helps your feet recover easier and you don’t get as many blisters!

      1. Excellent advice on alternating shoes. I hadn’t considered that, but totally makes sense! Thanks!

  14. In my opinion. They are comfy to wear all day, though I should pair them with liner socks to prevent rubbing (which all shoes seem to do after hours of walking). And in these, I would size down at least a half size. They have lots of space! Since they are canvas, I would absolutely scotch guard them before I go.
