Admittedly my favorite outfits are ones with color, patterns and suspense. (Okay the suspense thing went a bit far.) But sometimes when I look at my very, very colorful closet I need something a little bit more quiet on days when I’m a bit more quiet. I pulled this simple outfit together with a few basics I’ve picked up this spring. White boyfriend blazer? Check. Ubiquitous grey tee? Check. Black high waisted shorts that I’ve been searching for for years? Check and check. All basic pieces but all very classic. In fact a lot of times when I put outfits like this together I think that ‘it’s too easy, no way this looks good’. And then it does. Basics are magic.
(This blazer is a lot less loud than the last time I wore it. Thank goodness for versatile blazers, am I right?)
