It has been pretty chilly these last few days so I’m getting to wear some of my warmer pieces I bought  in the fall. You know, the pieces that the rest of you get to wear in say November? Ah yes, those things. Like this jacket. I love this jacket but when I wore it in November, I got way too warm and ended up taking it off for the rest of the day. But this weekend was perfect for a thick wool jacket so I knew exactly what to reach for. The good news is it’s suppose to warm up this week to patio weather. This is why I live in Texas; I only have to flirt with winter, I don’t actually have to date it.
I picked up some new skinny jeans over the holidays with my christmas money and gift cards (best gifts ever). I had purchased some Paige denim this summer at Nordstrom’s anniversary sale in a boyfriend fit and loved them. So I decided on a super soft pair of skinny jeans for spring. (I know it’s just January, but I’m keeping hope alive.)

  1. Purchasing items for spring is the only way to survive to winter! Those jeans look amazing, I want them!

  2. I love the analogy of flirting and dating. Apparently I'm in a long-term relationship with winter up here in Kansas City! Although, the extended forecast does say we will get up to 50 this weekend, which is practically unheard of for this time of year.

  3. I'm with you on the winter stuff. Sometimes during the death heat summers in Texas I ask myself, "why do I live here?" then in the winter when everywhere else is suffering I remember "oh yeah, that's why." haha! 😉

Also, I'm sure you get asked this a lot so forgive me, but what kind of camera do you mainly use for your outfit photos? I'm looking to upgrade my DSLR, so I'm asking around first before committing. Thanks! 🙂

  4. Just beautiful! This look is so lovely and I especially adore that fabulous OTK boots.

  5. I love this entire look! Where I live it's cold for months, so I get a lot of use out of my coats. And I must say, that one is gorgeous! When I saw these pics pop up on Instagram, I had to head over here and check out the entire outfit. Love, love, love!

  7. I hope you are aware of the fact that people don't follow your blog just because of your effortlessly stunning style but also because of your sense of humor!!! Love it =)

  8. Love the Paige Verdugo jeans. And totally on board with your choice for spring. I am thinking about buying the distressed style of the Verdugo, but am still debating whether I should spend $200 on ripped jeans. Thoughts anyone?
