*This post was sponsored by Nordstrom and their fabulous coats. Thank you for supporting the brands that support this blog!

Friends, I’d like to introduce you to my new coat, Olivia Pope. You watch Scandal right? (If not, stop what you are doing and start with season 1, episode 1. I’ll see you in a few days and then we can talk.) I mean is this coat not exactly like something she would wear? I’m absolutely channeling my inner Olivia Pope in this. Feeling very lady boss in this coat but without the extra-marital affair with the President and slightly messed up family tree. But all joking aside, she kind of has it right with all of the white coats she wears. There is something so classic and so refined about a crisp white coat.

Speaking of coats, I feel like I should let you know that there are TONS of coats under $200 at Nordstrom right now. Some are on sale and some are full-price under $200 but I went through the racks the other night and tried on about 50% of them on and let me tell you — they are really nice coats. Which is perfect timing because if it’s not already cold where you are, it’s coming. Winter is coming. You are welcome for that warning. What would you do without me, right?

  1. LOVE this coat. In fact, I have to tell you – you alone are responsible for my new Nordstrom obsession. A few months ago, I noticed everything I loved and clicked was at Nordstrom. Now it's my go to.

I haven't watched Scandal specifically because I don't have days free right now. But soon…

  2. Love this look on you! May I ask what lip color you are wearing? Very pretty indeed! 🙂

  3. When I bought this coat, the lady checking me out goes 'just scotch guard this, honey and you should be fine.' It was like she could just tell by looking at me that I was a mess! 😉

  4. Those colors together look so pretty and crisp! You definitely look like Olivia– just grab one of those fab Crate and Barrel wine glasses and you'll be set. 😉

  5. Can I please confide in you–and this is the 110% truth–as I sit in down time at my desk, I have my iPad open with Scandal on. I just started watching and I am now on Season 2. The president just came back into office from the attempted assassination. Obsessed. And this is the PERFECT Olivia Pope coat. Absolutely.

  6. Just be yourself and not be someone your not. A great coat can come from old navy gorgeous much cheaper. Spending too much money is the pits.

  7. Oh you look stunning in a white coat! Sadly, white items and I just do not get along at all – there's always something on it before long! Shame as the snow-free weather here would make a white winter coat quit a practical option, it's not likely to get dirty from the environment. It would all be from me dropping/spilling things, haha!

  8. Omg that is too funny! I'm sure it's not you, it's everyone…white is a tough color for anyone to justify buying because of its attraction to dirt. 😉

  9. Great outfit (very springy with the pale colours) and lovely colour on your coat, only I would be so worried that I would spill something on it… I LOVE (read: Am obsessed with) Scandal and Liv's gorgeously tailored wardrobe. I have the same crush on Robin Wright's wardrobe in House of cards…

  10. Love the coat and loved that you call it Olivia Pope, but I especially appreciate how you called out that this post was sponsored at the top of the blog post. KEEP DOING THAT! So refreshing to see the disclaimers before I start reading, instead of at the end. Idk, when they're at the end of a blog post, it seems like cheating or something.

  11. Great coat, and love how you styled it.
