Sometimes I surprise myself when I buy really girly pieces. Sure I am still, at heart, a Lisa Frank binder having, Barbie playing, my Little Ponies hoarding 5th grade girl but surprisingly in the aisles of pale pink is not where I find myself most of the time. But this top with it’s pink and ruffles has fulfilled all of my girly longings as of late. Bonus is that it’s just an easy top to wear all of the time. Of course after wearing it with cutoffs or just jeans, I wanted to toughen it up a bit. I decided that ripped denim was the best candidate to balance out this outfit on the tough side.
PS: this is neither here nor there but I’ve had these suede booties for a few seasons now and they were starting to get dirty. I found this cleaner at Target (you can’t buy it online but you can in-store, right by the shoes) and it works like freaking magic. SO this is just an FYI, in case you have a pair of suede shoes you love but they’re starting to stain or get dirty. There is hope for light suede shoes and of course the solution would be found at Target.

  1. Love this look! Girly but "tough". I am soooo happy you shared that bootie cleaning tip — I have a favorite pair (from Target actually) that is getting a little dirty!

  3. Thanks for the suede shoe tip!!! Now share how you are surviving in the heat of Texas while wearing jeans! I'm dying here in Oklahoma with the 100+ degree days and that's in shorts. You're a champ!

  6. I saw those booties on your blog a couple years ago and bought them and loooove them. I was seriously just looking at yours and thinking "how does she keep them so clean?!" — thank you for sharing your secret!

  7. Yeah girl! I love these booties and they have held up SO well! I'm serious, that little kit works so well. It's made me warm up to the idea of suede shoes again 🙂
