9.14.10tiredJust between me and you, I am exhausted. I will blame no one but myself and the three small children that kicked the back of my chair all the way home from Chicago yesterday. (Karma sucks, kiddos.) But I had to take the day off from an outfit post. Don’t worry, it wasn’t that impressive anyways. It was a half ironed shirt (half ironed meaning I took my curling iron and rubbed it over the front) and a fully wrinkled skirt. Tomorrow though, tomorrow there will be ironing. There will be humor. There will be an outfit post. Till then, goodnight.

EDIT: Someone made a very good point. Karma is two-fold. So what did I do to deserve little legs pounding on my airplane seat? I’m not exactly sure, but it probably has to do with kicking an airplane seat as well. And not when I was 3 years old.

  1. Your method of ironing sounds way more refined than what I do, which is just run it in the dryer for 10 minutes.

Hope your time off is relaxing!

  2. hey kendi, i just wanted to let you know that
    1) you're really pretty and you have so many pretty clothes to match and your husband's photography's wonderful
    2) in fact i enjoyed your blog so much i've read the posts from like 2000. (more like 2008)
    3) you inspired a friend and i to do a 30 for 30… as of yesterday!
    4) you're funny and i need your wardrobe in addition to my own asap!

  3. Usually my husband irons for me, but if he won't and I'm on the hook, I limit my choices to those things that can be ironed (while I'm wearing them) with a flat iron. And your blog is funny, even without an outfit post!

  4. I don't iron. Ever.

I throw my clothes in the dryer with a damp washcloth and hope it steams the wrinkles out.

    Hope you get some rest!

  5. I thought I was the only one who knew the curling iron over a shirt trick! ha ha It comes in handy when you are in a hurry! These days with an infant at home, I would be lucky if I had a clean shirt, let alone a half ironed one.
Glad you are home safe from your trip! Hope you had a good nights sleep.

  6. ahahaha, no joke, when I travel i take my flat iron to iron stuff out. Leggings are my fav travel piece cause they have yet to wrinkle 🙂

  7. no worries Kendi… your post yesterday was funny and pretty enough for two days. I love that blurb about what wtf means… my fiance and i were laughing our bottoms off 😛

  8. Kendi I love reading your blog, thanks for keeping me laughing and entertained, you girl brighten my day!

    Happy resting

  9. You know that Karma thing goes both ways, right? 😀 So fess up, what'd ya do to deserve those three back kicking kids? At chez hair-mess DH is doing the ironing, I'm no good at it at all (or so I made him believe). Already looking forward to tomorrows post.

  10. I think you just have such a funny, fun way of writing and and I look forward to your posts. (And of course the outfits)

Enough gushing. : ) I can't believe no one mentioned the old hang the clothes in the bathroom while you take a shower trick. I've actually tried the flat iron and the dryer but I keep going back to good old steam.
