8.2.10aIf you came to my blog just to see if I was wearing those red heels again, guess what? I am. I’ve decided that it is actually pointless to take them off. I sleep in them. I shower in them. I love them. I tell them sweet nothings when no one is looking. If I was stranded on a desert island and I could only take 1 pair of shoes and a book, I’d take them and The Davinci Code.
In fact…
I would wear them on a train. I would wear them on a plane. In a box with a fox, in a house with a mouse. I would wear them here or there. I would wear them anywhere. I will wear red suede shoes, yes ma’am. I will wear them, Kendi-I-am.

  1. Love this outfit!! I totally feel you on the love for the shoes – what is better than a pair of rockin' red heels? Not much in this girl's book! Although my pair of nonsensical shoes would be my own AK Anne Klein floral pumps 🙂 That's what I would take to my desert island!

  2. I really like this, the skirt is such a timeless piece. I would wear those shoes in a house and with a mouse too.

  3. Sigh…I have a skirt just like that one. I miss it. I feel like after this challenge is over I'm just going to throw all my non-30 clothes onto the bed and just SWIM IN THEM.

Oh PS, I know you dig it when we get MacGyver-y with our allotted items, so I thought I'd let you know I got wacky with a scarf again today: http://juxta-posing.tumblr.com/post/893270186

Headin' down the home stretch and still lookin' fierce, Kendi!

  4. Those shoes are cute! I LOVE them paired with the red thin belt! A nice pop of color without giving the vibe of being 'matchy-matchy.'

  5. Ok, I tried to just admire your shoes without going out and buying a pair of my own but after seeing them on you over and over again and seeing how you can wear them with almost anything I just can't resist! When I looked online it said they ran a bit big, in which case I'd need a 5.5 and I'm afraid they don't carry my size…online at least. I might just have to make the trek out to the store to find out!
How do they fit you? Did you have to size down?

  6. Haha. Love the JC Penney reference.

I really like this look. Those shoes are great. I don't blame you at all for wearing them all the time.

  7. I can see why you love the red shoes, they are super cute and look comfy! I really like this outfit, it's totally something stylish that I could wear to work.

  8. Please, wear the shoes all you like! They're just divine. Esepcially paired with your red belt.
I've been reading your blog since Tania started 30 for 30 and introduced it to her readers. I love your seemingly effortless style. You're definitely a style inspiration of mine already 🙂 (Oops, sorry for the rhapsody there…)

  9. Where did you get your necklace? I'm looking for a statement necklace just like it!

  10. I seriously love your shoes so much… you give me confidence to put outrageous shoes in my upcoming remix!

I posted on my blog that my friends and I are going to do one starting September 1st, the first day of our classes. I'm super nervous about how I'm going to use 30 pieces that are transitionary enough for Summer/Fall weather! Do you have any advice?

  11. BUSTED! You titled this post "Oh the Places You'll Go," but you quoted "Green Eggs & Ham." Actually, now that I think of it, that's not a criticism. It merely shows your vast knowledge of Dr. Seuss and that's an admirable quality. 🙂
