I hope that from my emo-girl post yesterday you didn’t hear me say that I hated taking pictures everyday. It’s actually the best part of my day and the one that I look forward to the most. But that day’s shoot just so happened to be doomed. Even if I would have been taking outfit pictures at Disney World, I would have been in a foul mood. Unless Mickey would have been in the picture with me. That would have made things better. (Note to self: Get husband Mickey Mouse suit ASAP.)
You guys, I have a secret. Sometimes I don’t wash my hair on Wednesdays. And that’s why I wear my hair in a beloved little bun. This normally happens because by Wednesday my positivity from the last weekend has faded and I’ve lost all hope and sight of the coming weekend, so I literally give up. I tell myself that if I stay in bed ten more minutes, everything will be fine. Ten minutes in bed means it’s bun time, so there you have it. My deep burning secret. Oh and I sucked my thumb till I was 13. Judge me, my teeth turned out fine.
So this 30 day challenge is working like a charm. I am not shopping (yay!) and I am totally coveting everything else that is hanging in my closet that I can’t wear. I found some pants that I’d been looking for the other day and you would have thought that they were an ex-boyfriend. I stared at them from across the room because I knew that if I got any closer I would have put them on and worn them to work. Then I kept texting them asking them to take me back, using cheesy lines like “It’s been too long…” Bryan finally put the pants in his closet. It’s better this way.
My cardigan makes me feel like a cougar mom for some reason. I got it at Old Navy years ago (and I mean years — 2004, perhaps?). It’s gone through many stages of my life. I actually think she prefers this stage the best. Before I paired her with my college t-shirts and jeans, now she gets a flower pinned to her and a silk shirt underneath. I know how to treat my cardigans right. (Never mind that hole on the sleeve…)

Psst. I'm glad you shared that secret with us because sometimes I'm so tired that I end up staying in bed a wee bit longer than intended, leaving me to push my hair around in a hat or something. But hats are fashionable, right?

I hear that it's actually way better for your hair not to watch it everyday…I don't…I usually cave after 2 days though. And if I go running then I definitely was it because that's just nasty.

I hate to wash my hair, thus I keep it long enough for bunnage!!! I am also on a no shop ban til July – I bought some F21 stuff and am flogging myself with this ban! I follow your blog and love your style! I am currently "editing" some skirts to make them all shiny and new. I just made a harem pant out of one! It turned out pretty well! Stop by if you want to see the edit, it was so easy and required no sewing machine!
I have a secret, too. I don't wash my hair before my 8 am classes. I don't even shower. I'm a disgusting person.
I've been thinking about doing a sort of challenge myself, but all my clothes look like suck these days. Maybe I'll challenge myself in a different way. How many things can I buy in one month before my bank balance gets to $0?

…that's exactly what I do, ohno! Some days when I'm in a rush I only wash my fringe and bun my hair. I don't even think of it as a shameful thing, at least I'm making an effort to look presentable! Well…that's what I like to tell myself, at least.
oh man…Ive had one of those moments where Ive had a little tiff with the boyfriend right before taking photos…then I wonder if it comes across in the photos. So strange, but you move on.

I can one up you: I haven't "washed" my hair in over two months! No more shampoo for me, only silicon-free conditioner and my hair's never been softer or less greasy.
And I still pair my leopard print with cheesy thrift store shirts, so kudos for being so mature 😉

Just had to comment because I definitely thought of this post as I pushed snooze this morning and decided, you know, this can just be a "body shower" morning. After all, KENDI ROCKS IT. My hair does not look as good unshowered as yours does, but the extra sleep was worth it!

The flower on the leopard is so great. I often mix my leopard print stuff with actual floral printed clothing (like a floral dress underneath leopard cardi) I think it's such a cute look.
