Don’t you love it when my posts start with “Today a co-worker said to me…”? Well if you don’t, then ad lib the following sentence to have it say whatever you’d like.

Today a ________ said to me “Oh I like your necklace! It looks like a lady tie.” That’s right, she said “lady tie.” To my face. I almost erupted in tears due to the fact that it was so painful to hold in laughter for that amount of time. The minute she left my office I googled lady tie, a term I’ve never had the pleasure of hearing before. Turns out Avril Lavigne was really onto something in 2002. Moving on.

This is the debut of a new shirt that I got before the whole shopping ban. (Apparently I shopped enough for both March and April, says my husband.) It’s actually a pretty long tunic, that I think I can get away with just leggings underneath. It passed the “Cover Thy Bum” rule (The 11th commandment, if you were wondering.) Moses would be proud. Well probably not, since I just appended a Bible story. But he would give a nod at my modesty for sure. Yesterday though I tucked in it and decided to mix it with a little red accents and good hair. That’s right I said it — I had a freaky good hair-day yesterday and I’m not ashamed to say it. This usually only happens right before a hair cut, on a day when no one is there to witness it or on a rainy day, so you better believe I told everyone I saw yesterday how good my hair looked. (Note: if a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to see it, does it still count as a good hair day?)

That’s enough rambling for a Friday afternoon. Cheers to the weekend.

  1. I really like this look! And you definitely were having a good hair day… though I can safely say I have yet to see a photo of you on a bad hair day. I haven't had a quantifiable good hair day in quite a while (read: what's up ponytail?)

  4. Love the "lady tie" heehee. And your hair does, in fact, look perfect. Though honestly, it always looks fabulous.

As a sidenote: I'm terrified of heights and those pics of you on the ledge (wearing heels no less!) make me totally dizzy. You are braver than me!
