Your eyes are not playing tricks on you. I am wearing my scarf three different ways. “Woah! Three different ways??” you say? I know, I’m blowing your mind right now. I liked my scarf with the outfit, but I just couldn’t decide on how to wear it. It’s on of those “too many options” problem. If I’m presented with more than 2 choices, it’s going to be at least half an hour for me to decide on what I want. There are just so many different ways to take on a scarf, so I had a hard time deciding on which way was my favorite. On Banana Republic’s website, I saw a model wearing a scarf under a vest which I thought was adorable. But once I did it, it kind of looked like my vest was vomiting fabric. I started off the day like that, then I switched over to a cowl and then out loose and free. I just couldn’t decide which one I liked best, so I numbered them for you to decide for me. Feel free to weigh in on your favorite.

I also have some other life decisions that I’d like you to weigh in on.

How many children should we have?
What should we do with our tax return?
Where should we go on vacation?
What’s for dinner tomorrow?
That should do it for now. I’m glad this is a give-take relationship.

  1. I like #2. Use your tax return to go on vacation. Take out is always great and I'll let you decide on kids.;0)

  2. I love your sense of humor, Kendi! And of course your outfits! Can't wait to meet you at the fashion brunch 🙂

  3. you're asking me, when I have trouble deciding when to get up in the morning? (feel free to hate me now) this is way to much responsibility for moi. BUT I will say that when I wore my scarf similar to this under a long cardi, it got trapped between my legs when I walked and I felt like I was wearing a diaper. Thus was obviously not the case since you were sporting a longer A-line skirt, and I was sporting leggings underneath said long cardi. (it covered my tush, I broke no leggings as pants rule)

by the way I liked the behind the photos…photos of your pal who did those AWESOME bridal photos of you. DIG.

  4. UGH and by 'to' in the first sentence I ment 'too'.. I'm TOO anal to not correct it and in my defense, I've been watching the Old Spice commercials on their youtube site with the Manfriend.

  5. #3 – loose and free is my favorite.

As for everything else (because I'm sure you seriously need my input):

    – Two kids (for balance).
    – I say blow it on a once in a lifetime vacation to Europe.
    – Where should we go on vacation? Italy.
    – Mmm… apple cider & red onion chicken

  6. #2 – definitely. I love being an only child, so I'll say 1 kid. And I agree with someone else who said you should use your tax return on a vacation. I love your skirt too!

  7. Your blog always makes me giggle. I think I like number three the best. As for children, taxes, and vacations, I'm not the person to ask, but I say pizza for dinner tomorrow… Amy's frozen pizza always makes my Thursdays a little bit better. 🙂

  8. I like two and three. (I saw the same ad on banana and actually am really loving all their looks right now with the khaki and coral colors.)

travel, travel, travel! i'm biased because i run a travel blog:) and go to Australia- i just got back and it was absolutely breathtaking, in every way. I have dogs, so I don't know about kids yet and I'll probably owe taxes- so have fun with that one!

  9. I love your blog! It's full of whimsy and happy captions. 🙂

I like #1 the most, but it's a tricky one to pull off. As for the other questions: 8, you should return your tax return, go to Serbia to go yak-hunting, then eat yak for dinner.

Or y'know… consult the good ol' MASH game.

    Toast with Charmalade

  10. I like number 3. 🙂

I think you should have as many kids as you want. You should splurge on something fun and not too expensive and save the rest of your tax return. Spain is absolutely lovely! We're having pizza and leftover sausage rice for dinner tomorrow. 🙂

  11. I love #1 and 2 the best — the first one is so creative!
I saw your faux-thropologie dress in your last entry at Target today — it's super cute in person too!

    – JoAnn, Sidewalk Chalk

  12. I'm so with you on the decision making! I personally like the carefree look of the third look.
I think you should have just 1 kid so you can spoil it rotten and not have to spend money on 2 or more.
Your tax return should go to something 75% to something frivolous you've been wanting forever and 25% to save.
Try vacationing in Puerto Rico! I was just there this Christmas, it was insanely beautiful, and easy to travel there, no passport needed, no money exchange, and most everyone is bilingual!
    Dinner is probably pesto chicken.

  13. I like the cowl neck, it looks like a giant necklace of wonderfulness.
-once you start having kids you'll know how many you want…it changes monthly.
-if you have any debt that your tax return will actually cover and relieve you of a monthly bill, do it, if not, may I suggest you both go on a shopping spree and maybe buy some cool things for your house.
-you should find out where all the cool roadside anomalies (read: giant cow statue) are and visit them OR go to food network and find the top 10 places they've rated close by you (ie:diners drive-in and dives, man vs food etc)and go eat at all of them…and then go shopping.
-my friend told me about this recipe, mongolian beef on foodie bride, I couldn't google it so she let me brake into her google reader to find it…I'll be making it tomorrow night…with chicken…let me know if you want the recipe.

  14. Maaaan, all the things you can do with a scarf! Love, love, love every way you styled it.

    As for your questions…
How many children should we have? 17.

What should we do with our tax return? Store it under the bed.

Where should we go on vacation? The Yukon.

    What's for dinner tomorrow? McDonald's?

=] Just trying to make you laugh.

  15. Just came across your blog.. LOVE IT! You're such a cutie with awesome style. 🙂

My favorite is #1 🙂 I like how it peeks out at the bottom of your vest. Maybe you can use your tax return to go on an awesome vacation! Hawaii is nice, hee hee 🙂 or you could start a savings with it for your future children. 🙂

    xx Love & Aloha.

  16. Children- 5 boys. Seriously. Think of all the Texas football you'd be watching. Hehehehe jk.

Tax return- Savings for your 5 boys

Vacation- somewhere with hot springs. that sounds nice 🙂 or a weekend trip to lubbock. windmills, petroleum, and a prairie dog farm?? should i sign you up? hehe

Dinner tomorrow- oven sandwiches; ciabatta, pesto, turkey, mozzerella, and tomatoes. toast in oven until cheese is melted. yum.

  17. number one is my favourite!! you've got such a cute refreshing style! love your blog!:)

    heyfancypants.blogspot.com

  18. Number 3 looks the best to me!! (holy crap did I just rhyme?) Ok, and if you want help with dinner tomorrow I say Pizza Hut, since they're doing their any size any kind for 10 bucks. Oh and you should definitely go to Disney World for vacation! Oh and tax return? Pay off debt! It save you more in the long run:)

  19. In my opinion number two looks best. I like number 1 because it is interesting. Number 3 covers the cute vest too much.

I'm still trying to figure out all of those same other questions myself so when you're done with these suggestions can I steal some?

  20. You are so beautiful! I came across your blog at Indiana's Adored Austin. And I have been your fan ever since. You make the clothes look so good ! Plus (much to my dismay) you are also genuinely funny. Its not fair I tell you. You are a complete package !

Your outfit is very very cute. Very adorable. Do visit me sometime ! I am a budding (:P) blogger (only two months old!!). And I would love some feedback from a veteran like you. 😀

    Love,

  21. I've been reading your blog for a little while now and I love it! It's not a boring fashion blog, that's for sure. You're hilarious. Love the outfits and love all the commentary that goes along with it. Keep it up!

  22. Lol!! 🙂 I smiled at this post… I like any of those 3, but I think I like #2 the best. Also to answer life's most important questions… Kids… however many you want! 🙂 Tax return? Definitely use it on vacation.. and you should do an all-inclusive somewhere. Check out cheapcaribbean.com. They've got awesomeeee deals on all-inclusives! And dinner? Why not mexican lasagna? It's delishhhhhhhhhh… and super easy/cheap to make! 🙂 I've got a recipe if you want it.. haha

  23. You are so unbelivably (did i spell that right?) funny!! I like chose #2. I think you should have 1 kid, blow your tax money on shoes, go to paris for your vacation, and have spaghetti w/meatballs for dinner tomorrow. I hope that helps!! Have a wonderfulus day!!

  24. Wow, that first option is really interesting and at first was going to be my top choice just because it's so unique. But on second thought, there is something funny about that poof of fabric by one's crotch… hhm…

So I would say #2 is my fave.

    S

  25. i like look #2 the best, but they all look great! as for everything else…

    kids: 2-3
    tax return: pay off debt
    vacation: italy or france
dinner: spaghetti w/ meatballs and caesar salad

your blog is inspiring…keep up the good work!

    suzanne

  26. i like number two! definitely. though my boyfriend says i look like some kind of french royal whenever i wear scarves in cowls! silly silly.

  27. i like #2 the best i think. good timing on your post – i am wearing my scarf like #3 right now but was just considering other possibilities. now if the rest of your outfit could be exactly like mine, that would help me out a lot on the decision…ha.

  28. Scarves yay!
And you should give part of your refund away (preferably to me, because we owe) and spend part of it on yourself, on something decadent.

  29. Bahahah! You seriously crack me up! I need to stop visiting your blog in class because I'm always giggling to myself and my classmates look at me like I'm crazy while I'm grinning at my computer screen!

  30. I like option #2 the best – it lets the vest still be seen which is a great part of the outfit.

I say have 5 kids, spend the tax return, got to Tahiti and chinese always works for me on a Friday.

  31. i'm also a slow decision maker. which means i am not going to make this easier… i will inevitably make it more difficult by saying i like all three depending on the setting.

#1 for coffee with friends. because they would "get it"
    #2 for work
    #3 for school/maybework/grocery store/errands.

  32. I think #2 looks super cute. Has a french feel to it….ohhhh lah lahhh

    also…

    You should have 2 children
You should go on vacation with your tax return
Newport Beach, CA (gorgeous beach, fabulous surf, great shopping and there are wonderful vintage stores too…goodbye tax return)
    Vegetarian Lasagne

    loves xoxo

  33. YOUR BLOG IS MY FAVORITE 🙂

    1. I like #2 the best
    2. Go to Tree House Point in Washington for vacation, or maybe Palau (if you love the ocean, then you have to to to Palau).
    3. Three or 4 kids is best I think. Well, on second thought go with 2 or 4, then nobody gets left out! 🙂

  34. #3 is my favourite but the other two feels more unexpected…

Come to Europe, oh and visit Scandinavia – it can be freakishly cold here but I can assure you that we don't have polar bears roaming the streets. Not yet at least. And we have the best history, I mean doesn't everybody love a viking?

Have three kids, with a big age gap between 2 and 3. I love having two older brothers, makes it easy to be the "baby" of the family. 😉

(ps. love your blog, you have the best writing style. yes indeed. oh, and you look good too)

  35. I love the vest! Great variations on the scarf. I like the second version the best.

    Have 3 kids.
Invest your tax return (kids are expensive).
Go to Mexico City on vacation.
Have salmon and asparagus for dinner tomorrow.

    🙂
