Freezing but Make it Fashion

Good afternoon on this fine Monday, my friends! Why am I so late today? Oh I’ll tell you why. My brain forgot to schedule and publish this post on Friday like I typically do for my Monday posts. Silly brain, doesn’t it know this is a new year, new me? We had an agreement to stop procrastinating but I’m starting to think this agreement was one-side. I’ll be having a stern talk with myself later. Unless I forget. 

We were up early this morning to shoot lots of looks and it was just kind of a fail day all over. I hate to be like ‘typical Monday’ but yikes it was the most Monday morning that there ever was. Our shoot was moody and I don’t mean the photos, I mean the model. She moody. I hate to admit that I am no longer a morning person. I was a super morning person for most of my life — happy, chipper, annoying — until my late 20s / 30s. And now? Well now it takes me 2 cups of coffee and a long shower for others to identify me as a human and not a bridge troll. The morning transformation though, I must say, is inspiring. I may start rethinking early morning Monday shoots in the winter. For all of our sakes.

Enough about my unstable moods and let’s talk about this coat! This coat is another find from the Madewell 40% off pile — it’s on sale with 40% off! I think it ends up being around $120 which is amazing for this once-priced $300 coat. I am in the medium and it fits TTS. Also the collar can be taken off as well, I just haven’t figured out how to yet. So if the collar feels like a lot, you can take it off and it’s just a normal coat. You can find this coat here!

I’d be remiss not to mention this sweater for being on sale as well! I am in the small but it fits TTS. I just sized down because I wanted it to fit a bit more cropped. Otherwise it’s a normal, slightly boxy fit. (You can see it in medium on me here.)
