Happy Monday for all those keeping up with calendars and time. How was your weekend? Ours was typical — did a lot of nothing and a lot of laundry. Last night we had an impromptu pizza pool party at my parents, because let’s be honest — if there is a pool and there’s pizza, then it’s a party. Oh and this weekend I got a little haircut and by little… I mean 7.5 inches. You know you are ready for a haircut when you feel absolutely nothing when that hair is gone. I’ve lost a lot of hair since having Gemma but it was also time for a change. I think that I had long hair for about 4 years now and it started to feel like a security blanket. So yeah we chopped that security blanket off off late Friday and I didn’t even have that moment where you look in the mirror and think ‘who is that?’ It was just like yes! This feels new and fresh and I love it. So yeah, I’ve got shorter hair now. Hope you like it because if not, it’s gonna be a while before this grows out. lol.
I did a quick try on on my IG stories (saved in the highlights or my LTK profile!) from Target and this dress was the clear winner. Not that everything is a competition, but in this case — yeah this dress won first place. I mean is this not the cutest silhouette? It’s my favorite silhouette I must say which is what? A bell? Thats kind of what I feel like in this dress. It fits true to size, with a lining at the skirt. The puff sleeves are PUFFED but I love the bold statement of them. And this dress comes in a few other colors! I’m peeping the burgundy and black for fall.

I took my Vince Camuto booties from the Nordstrom Sale out for a spin. Yeah, I love them. And I didn’t even feel weird wearing booties even though it’s still very much summer here. I felt cool girl LA. Maybe it’s the lighter hue of the bootie, but they don’t feel fall heavy one bit. I would suggest sizing up a half size in these because of the pointed toe! Also the way they dip is PERFECT for dresses and skirts and that’s hard to find in a bootie!
