Work From Home Capsule: 12 Items, 12 Ways

I had an overwhelming request for a work from home capsule and I thought I’d make a few outfits using kind of ‘everyday’ pieces in a wardrobe that can hopefully inspire you if you are working from home right now or if you are just at home right now. Working from home lends a different vibe to style since it really steps up your multi-tasking game. So I wanted to approach these outfits with a comfortable but pulled together approach. Perfect for looking great in your Zoom calls and then curling up in your favorite chair to finish your afternoon’s workload.

I picked 12 pieces from Wal-Mart that can work for now and later and are all well priced. Plus they are pieces you won’t want to take off as soon as that conference call is over. When building a capsule wardrobe, I like to keep in mind colors or in this case neutrals that will work with each other endlessly. I kept most tops light with the variation in my jeans, pants and the jacket. And while I’ve created 12 outfits here, the options are not limited to 12. You can continue to mix and match to your hearts desire, I just wanted to jump start you with a few ideas!

(Oh one side note — I tossed in a pair of sneakers in a few outfits in case you would want to switch out the heels for sneakers. Heels are v v optional right now.)

If you are looking for a few comfortable pieces to wear while working from home or staying at home, I love this slouchy pocket tee and this crewneck sweatshirt. Two of my favorite spring pieces from this capsule are this crochet top  and this striped tank. Two pieces that will definitely get some love this summer. And this jacket is so adorable — I love that it has a cinch waist and is just a bit more cropped than a typical anorak. I am a medium across the board in all of these pieces and an 8 in the wide leg pants. I sized up for the denim based on reviews and glad I did! Size up for a looser fit but they do stretch with wear.
