Well it’s here for Icon and Ambassador card holders BUT tomorrow will be full access for Card Holders so I wanted to go ahead and share with you what to look out for! So I won’t lie — this is a BIG post and kind of overwhelming. But there are all of the items — yes all of them — that I loved! Obviously I was playing the fun game of ‘what if we had all the money?’ And I just went after it! Here are 48 of my picks from THE SALE. Let me walk you through them!
Let me just start off by saying that I personally think that shoes + denim are where it is at this year. Lots of great denim and shoe options and here is the thing — these aren’t trendy pieces that rely on a season or ‘moment’ in time for style. Sure they have a lot of bold shoes that are trendy, but the ones I found to me are timeless. I just wanted to note that this is why this sale is epic — you can get great staples that are worth the investment at a lower price than typical. If you’ve wanted to try a certain brand or designer and it’s on sale, now is the time to do it.
Denim
Okay ya’ll there is some GOOD denim this year. I went in with a list of what I wanted to try and I was not disappointed. (Well, there was one pair I’d steer you from but I’ll get to that!)
My NUMBER ONE pick are these Frame Denim Distressed Skinny Jeans. They are the most flattering pair of denim. They are thicker denim with a hint of stretch and girl, they look GOOD. Find them here. I am in my typical size, 29. Frame doesn’t usually sell out during the Anniversary Sale but…I could see these going pretty quickly. I think they are a pretty well kept secret but you never know! My second pick would be these Good American Jeans. Just a nice basic dark denim jean that is hella stretchy and just as flattering. I LOVED THEM. I’m kind of sad I walked away from them in the fitting room, so they are in a cart ready to be bought! I wore my typical size 8. I did not size down, I don’t find that recommendation true for my body shape. I think these will sell out fast!
Okay so third (but not really third in preference, just third in the list) all of the MADEWELL denim on sale! Nordstrom came through! I would go with either this distressed high waist pair here OR this button front pair here. (Steer clear of the black jeans #unpopularopinion. I explain more later.)

AG denim came through as well this year! LOVED this lighter pair of jeans — they fit amazing (TTS) and then I always love this pair of denim that I’ve deemed the anniversary jean because they have some variation of it each year! Since I bought these the last few years, I wanted to branch out to other brands (frame) but I HIGHLY recommend AG denim during anniversary sale. These will last you for years. Also AG tends to sell out on the first day, so snatch them up!
If you are looking for flare jeans, go with this pair of Frame wide leg over this pair from Good American. I tried them on and they were such a 2002 fail. (On me anyway!)
I would 100% steer you clear of this pair from Madewell. This is not their typical fabric for denim, it was scratchy and they looked cute on but the quality was NOT there. Don’t do it. Instead, go with a Rag & Bone pair of black denim. I find that I run about a size bigger in Rag & Bone, so I would buy the 30.
Shoes
YOU GUYS. I am shaking my head as I am writing this because it was a challenge to get this list down to just a few. SO MANY GOOD SHOES.
First off, this pair of Vince Mules will fly and if you don’t buy them, you’ll be sad and sorry. I am telling you. I am buying them in the nude but do whatever color you can because they will last and you will wear them with everything. I’m telling you right now, these will sell out.
I LOVED these Marc Fisher flats. They come in Nude and this Snakeskin. I bought them…in the snakeskin! What a swerve! But I loved them in the nude as well. You can find them here. Just a note: I went down a half size. I am a typical 10 but the 10 was too wide and the 9.5 fit perfect. If you have a regular to narrow foot, go a half size down. If you have a wider foot, stay TTS.
I also bought these mules from Madewell! I went with the cognac color but there is also a black and animal print option. These WILL sell out 100% so snatch them up!
I also picked up this pair of pointed black flats! I’m trying to decide to keep or not…I’ll let you know! But they are a beautiful leather and fit about a half size down. (I’m in the 9.5) I just want to make sure they work with denim and my dresses before I keep them! You can find them here.
You are 100% going to get tired of me writing LOVED on everything but I’m just speaking my truth over here. I LOVED these notched booties from Vince Camuto. They fit a bit snug but I went with my typical size. I bought the light camel color but they come in so many! (Also check out this tall boot from VC!)
I passed on all the black booties this year. I tried this one on from Treasure and Bond and it’s great quality and a good fit but the way it hit me at my ankle just wasn’t the look I was going for. It wasn’t the most flattering, so if you find that booties that hit mid cankle don’t work on you, pass on these. Go for a black version of the Vince Camuto bootie.
Great selection of sneakers this year! I bought these Nike’s for working out as well as these Adidas in the grey. (The Adidas fit about a half size too big, size down a half size.) I also snatched up this DARLING pair of pink Nike Blazers! ARE THEY NOT THE CUTEST?? I loved them!
Coats and Jackets
SO many requests for coats! I really loved this puffer coat here — it’s lightweight so I wouldn’t suggest for Chicago in January BUT it’s a really nice weight for a mild winter (Texas) or a transition coat from heavy winter into not quite spring. I loved this option a lot!
This Sam Edelman coat wasn’t at my Nordstrom and I was so bummed! But it’s a top pick for me as well as this camel coat! I would say my NUMBER ONE pick for a coat is this camel coat, then the puffer coat, then the Sam Edelman Tweed Coat.

If you are looking for an easy pullover, this Patagonia is on sale! It’s not included above and I know it will sell out fast, so put this on your list as a quick buy if you are looking for something like this!
I wanted to mention, if you were looking for a real leather jacket – this one is under $200 (just barely!) and amazing quality! I would suggest sizing up so you can layer. I tried on the medium and it was tight in my arms / shoulders. Find it here.
Cardigans and Sweaters
It’s always such a struggle to think about winter needs when it’s literally 100º outside. So I won’t lie, I just kind of skimmed the sweaters and cardigans but came up with some really great options!
I loved this striped cardigan from Madewell. I would say this Madewell cardigan, this cognac Topshop cardigan and this lightweight one from Leith are my top three choices! I think all of this will sell out, so get them fast!
I REALLY loved this cashmere cardigan and struggled putting it back. Like I may have shed a tear hanging it back up. This is so soft, it’s the perfect brown hue and it’s great quality. I was in the medium and it was a perfect boyfriend fit. True to size. Someone please buy this cardigan and rub it in my face at how perfect it is. Find it here!
I have this sweater from Free People last year in blush and it was a best seller! I loved it this year in the ivory but it comes in a few other colors! Size down, if you are petite or you want it to fit a bit closer. I tried on the medium and it works for me, but it’s SUPER slouchy. This sweater will sell out!
My other top pick for sweaters is this lightweight under $30 sweater. It’s a nice weight for transitioning into fall / winter and I love this light oatmeal color (although it comes in many different shades!) You can find this here! I bought my typical size, medium.
Oh and I didn’t try this on because it wasn’t at my local Nordstrom (this is why Online is the best way to shop this sale!) but I love this striped topshop sweater. It has pink and camel therefore making it my dream scenario for winter. Find it here! (I would suggest sizing down)

Purses
I’ll start with the two that I bought — this suede Rebecca Minkoff Hobo in Acorn and this crocodile circle Crossbody. ADORABLE. Like I beelined for it the second I saw it. Love both of these for now and for fall.
This Tory Burch crossbody is a new body for anniversary sale! I was excited to see new stuff this year! This crossbody comes in a few different colors but I loved the ivory!
Longchamp was coming through this year! Here is the leather version of their totes (loved this pink!). I have a black one from years past and it still looks brand new. These are perfect for travel / commuting or a REALLY fancy gym bag. #treatyoself
They brought back a special version of the Madewell Transport tote! This one is a perfect cognac hue with a suede striped! GORGEOUS. There is also a miniature version!
Overall I loved the selection of handbags this year! I just found the two I wanted and decided that that was that. You can see all purses here!
Activewear
I can’t say enough good things about this pair of leggings from Zella. Fit is perfect AND THEY ADDED POCKETS! These WILL absolutely sell out — GO GO GO! Find them here.
I loved this pink pair of leggings BUT I will tell you they are not squat proof. I had dark undies on and you could see them — whomp, whomp. But if you go with nude undies and you just wear yoga pants as a look (raises hand), you’ll be just fine. Super cute fit but just be wary of the underwear situation. Find them here.
I also loved these from ALO — they are their famous high waist leggings! They are a shiny black and super cute. I would suggest sizing up if you have a rounder tummy / waist. Otherwise stay TTS. (I tried on the mediums and they fit but I think for comfort a large would have been better.)

Dresses, Pants and Skirts
I wasn’t able to try this dress on from Rebecca Taylor but you KNOW I snatched it up today online! I went with my normal size and hoping I’m right!
My NUMBER ONE pick from my try on was this dress from Gal Meets Glam! IT’S GOREOUS and season less! This can truly go from now through early winter and back to spring. I am in the 8. I would suggest sizing down if you don’t have a big chest. Otherwise, true to size and very nursing friendly! Find it here!
I love this body-con dress so much, it looks like it’s a ribbed sweater materila and hoping it doesn’t sell out too quickly because I’m dying to get my hands on it! Find it here! Personally, I’ll size up because I like to leave room for the imagination, know what I’m saying? 😉 (Oh and I tried this leopard print dress on…MEH. I’d pass.)
I’m pretty sure this floral number is meant to be a tunic, but I’m going to be wearing it as a dress. 😉 I brought the medium! Size down for a top option, though.
I’m waiting for this skirt that comes in Snakeskin print to come up online but in the meantime it’s this same slip skirt as shown in the black! It’s flawless! Find the black one here! TTS!
I also loved this leopard print pleated skirt! I fit in the medium and find it true to size!
This isn’t a skirt but I absolutely LOVED these Madewell Trousers! I bought them! They were a bit snug in the waist but I stayed TTS. I don’t think these will sell out super fast, but I love them!
Also if you’ve had your eye on the Spanx Faux Leather leggings — they are $30 off! You can find them here! I get the size large!
Etc.
My favorite pajamas are on sale and trust me, these will FLY. Grab them up quickly! Here they are in the shorts set!
Spanx are on sale (in fact a lot of the lingerie is! I’ll be doing a whole post on them!) But I love this pair of high waist smoothing shorts here! I have these in the medium, fit is TTS.
I loved this plaid scarf, thought it would be so nice with a camel coat, as well!
Oh and I loved this cashmere cardigan option. What a nice layer to have for travel or to keep at the office!
