Are you looking for the happiest maxi dress on the block? I’ve found it for you. This lovely black and yellow dress is seriously sunshine in dress form. I picked it up during my Target try-on haul a few weeks ago and the weather is just now feeling right for this look. I’m always a fan of yellow but I don’t tend to buy it, which makes me wonder why? This hue of yellow is just perfect too, I love it mixed with the darker black background and pop of pastel pink. If you too find that you like yellow but pass on it, try this dress out! It’s a nice intro into yellow and I think it would work for most skin tones, as well! Plus you can do this little skirt flippy thing. You’re going to think that you won’t do it, but trust me — you’ll do it.

You can find this dress here!

PS: this is preference, of course, but I would suggest tying the neck tie a little lower than I did here. It’s an easy fix, I just kind of tied it up higher when I meant to tie it lower but I forgot and these photos were too pretty to redo! So do as I say, not as I do 😉

I’ve got so many pretty posts this coming this week! We had this unicorn of a day on Saturday, it was warm, pretty AND not windy at all. We’ve had terrible windy days here lately, like Gemma had trouble standing the other day the gusts were so strong. As you can imagine, shooting in wild winds is pretty much the worst. I would take grey all day over 30 mph winds. But Saturday was a gift from above and we got a few looks shot, so I’m DYING to get the posted this week! So get ready friend, lots of color and fun styles coming your way 🙂

  1. That’s a gorgeous dress! I love maxi dresses, they look so fun. And the fact that it’s yellow really helps, yellow is such a happy colour.
