I got fancy the other day, ya’ll. And for no good reason, which is the best reason sometimes. We launched our Tuesday 10 collection this week and this little brushed fleece dress was in the collection. I snatched this dress up mainly because it’s so soft. I had envisions of me lounging around in it this weekend but then quickly realized as I was heading out the door that its counterpart just may be my new brown coat and this plaid scarf. I tossed this coat on over it and an outfit was made. It photographed a little short on me but I felt comfortable in it as a dress because it goes lower in the back. This dress would be perfect for someone a little shorter than me! Or you can easily wear it as a tunic, too. Which is so nice, it’s a transitional piece but also really versatile which is what I’m living for this time of year.

This time of year is hard to stay inspired I think sometimes for outfits because I get tired of the same colors or items. I’m trying to keep things mixed up as best I can. Gotta keep it interesting you know? This tunic would be really cute with Spanx leggings and those sneakers from yesterday’s post (or any sneaker!). Give it a more leisurewear feel. Now I’m kicking myself for not going ahead and shooting that outfit too! Hopefully, you can envision it 😉 Here are a few options for making the dress more like a tunic and more casual!

You can find this under $40 dress here!

Fit Details

I sized up to a 10 in the coat, the arms were tight in the 8 so I sized one up! I am in the medium in the dress (I’m 5’9″ so this would work great for a shorter lady!) It can be worn as a tunic as well. It’s a lightweight hacci / brushed fleece fabric so its good for layering.

Monthly Capsule Wardrobe

Each month I create monthly capsules out of my favorite pieces, perfectly curated for each month.
