Okay, I have spent wayyyyy too many hours on the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale website because I think my eyes are crossing at this point. But the good news is your eyes don’t have to cross because I’ve pulled the BEST of the BEST! Below are the best of dresses, tops, denim, shoes, handbags and coats/jackets! (I haven’t even looked at home / baby /activewear so look for these next week!) Let’s get to it!
Just a few housekeeping things — you can always hover on the ‘+’ sign within the graphic to see the price OR you can click on the ‘+’ sign to go directly to the product page for more details or to buy! Since there are way too many text links, you’ll notice my sidebar with links is missing. I’ve linked everything in each category below. I broke it down via category so you can just scroll down accordingly to find the link. I’ve also linked via the images before each text link list.
Best of Dresses
I can never tell what mood I’m going to be in going into this sale and I’m definitely in a more ‘tops/sweaters’ kind of a mood. So I thought. Then I started looking at the dresses and my heart started to beat very quickly at these beauties! A few notes of interest: This pink Eliza J Dress is absolutely beautiful in person. It fits true to size (I tried the 8 and it fit like a glove!) but I ultimately decided against it because I’m just not in a super dressy place in my life right now. But if you are looking for a tailored dress, this one is just beautiful.
I love these neutral knit dresses, like this tied waist dress or this bodycon dress here! I’d love to try this short sleeve knit dress on too. I’m not saying that I am going back this weekend, but I’m not NOT saying that either.
If you are looking for work dresses, this floral print dress is absolutely gorgeous. Like even prettier in person and this DVF camel color dress might just be the dress that got away for me. I am feeling 100% full regret for not even trying this one on. I also love this scallop hem CeCe dress.
And let me just mention this Leith lavender dress — if you like bodycon dresses THIS is the dress for you. I do not have the confidence for this dress but girl if I was 10 years younger and had a hot date with my husband tonight this dress would be on my body right now.
Leith Mélange Wrap Dress / Charles Henry Ruffle Shirt Dress / BLANKNYC Suede Shift Dress / Madewell Stripe T-Shirt Dress / CeCe Scallop Shift Dress / Eliza J Fit & Flare Dress / Socialite Tie Waist Dress / Rag & Bone Cutout Dress / BP Body-Con Dress / DVF Wrap Dress / Leith Knit Midi Dress / 1.State Tiered Wrap Dress
Best of Tops
I was texting with a friend and she said she wasn’t *loving* the tops this year but I actually love the simple selection! I love a fussy shirt but this year it seems like most of the tops are pretty straightforward which actually just means you can wear it longer and trust me, you’ll appreciate a classic in the years to come.
I LOVE this Vince silk blouse. Like all the heart eyes. I love Vince, especially if it’s something that you want to invest in or splurge on. It comes in Navy as well, but there is just something about a classic white blouse.
You already know that I have this Madewell button down — IT IS DARLING. I love the neckline as well and looks great with a front tuck or left out. It’s crisp enough to be left untucked, it still looks nice and tailored. I also love this high neck blouse, it would look precious with jeans, trousers or a pencil skirt!
I love a Rails button down (I size up for my chest, but with Rails stay true to size unless of boobs.) and this Rails button down in on sale! There are a ton of other colors as well, I’m just partial to a blue plaid.
As far as knits go, I kind of leaned hard into the softer tops this year. I love this raw edge tee (I bought it in black!), this peplum top is adorable and I love the plum color, I love this grey henley and I wonder if it’s even better in person? I shall investigate this query.
Vince Rib Trim Silk Blouse / Halogen Gathered Neck Blouse / Rails Plaid Shirt / Madison & Berkeley Surplice Tank / Madewell Courier Button Back Blouse / Caslon Henley Tee / BP Raw Edge V-Neck / Slouchy Pullover Shirt / Caslon Peplum Top / Hinge Puff Sleeve Lace Top
Best of Sweaters
GAH — SO. MANY. SWEATERS!! Look, I hear you — sweaters in July? What? I can’t, Kendi, you say. Oh but you can! Look at these prices, dear! Your future self will thank you, I assure you. I don’t even know if I can break down my favorites on this one because they are so good!
All of the ones shown are well under $100 with most around or under $50! This is #nsanity for prices on sweaters! See? Sweaters in July ain’t so bad, huh?
Trouvé Funnel Neck Sweater / Halogen Varsity Knit Cardigan / BP Drop Shoulder Sweater / BP V-Neck Sweater / BP Colorblock Sweater / Halogen Puff Sleeve Sweater / Madewell Ryder Cardigan / Topshop Colorblock Pullover / Trouvé Side Slit Sweater / Barefoot Dreams Circle Cardigan
Best of Denim
I said this yesterday in my round-up post and I will say it again: Hands down my favorite pair of jeans on sale are these AG The Legging Ankle Distressed Jeans! I put them on this morning and the world just felt right again. I stayed true to size, a lot of people are saying to size up one but I feel like they stretch as you wear so I stayed true to size. (size 8 = size 29) But you do you, girl!
I’m also loving this pair of high waist Madewell black jeans! Talk about my future self-thanking me! Oh and speaking of Madewell, this pair of Cali Demi Boot jeans are on sale! You guys loved them when I wore them this spring and now that they are on sale?? I mean, no-brainer!
I also found this pair of Caslon skinny jeans that look so designer it hurts. Like I was just scrolling and thought AG / Paige but no! Under $50 Caslon. I would like to try these on too…yep, looks like I’m going back. I’ll update accordingly.
Best of Shoes
Y’all, the shoes. Prepare thyself. Take a deep breath before we dive into the deep pool of beautiful shoes!
On the boot front, I said it once and I’ll say it again — THESE BOOTIES ARE PERFECT. I don’t want to sound overdramatic but YOU WILL REGRET THIS IF YOU DON’T BUY THEM. I wanted this morning so badly to wear them but I’m running errands all day and it’s 100 degrees so for fall they will wait. (I’ll do some outfits on IG with them though! Good fall inspiration!) I am in the size 10 and they are so soft. I wish I could invite you over so you could feel them. But I’d also ask you to bring a bottle of wine so really, I’m doing this more for me. You can find these Dolce Vita Perfect Booties here.
Okay, I bought the grey in these wedge booties AND THEN I saw them in cognac. I’m really, really thinking about either swapping them for this shade or getting another pair because they are just that good! Stay true to size. And speaking of getting one in every color? This pair of Vince flats! I bought them in the nude and can not wait to get them! You can find them here. Size down half size in the flats.
I love these black mules from Madewell, such a good heel height, and SUCH a staple. I also love these BP. nude pink mules, which I included in my roundup yesterday! I love this mule trend and kind of hope it is here for years and years. For us Texans, it’s such a nice shoe trend that we can wear *almost* all year long.
If you are looking for a simple black flat, it has to be this slingback! I don’t usually say this but how sexy are those? Okay gross and now I know why I don’t say that much. But seriously, I love this kind of flat, it elongates the leg much more than a ballet flat could ever imagine. You can find this flat here in multiple colors! (and for the love, please don’t call her sexy.)
My husband has turned me into somewhat of a sneaker lover. I have two pairs of the Nike Air Max Thea and they are the most complimented sneaker I’ve ever had. The photos online don’t actually do the body shape justice, they are a really great sneaker to wear at the gym or just to look like you maybe went to the gym today. That’s my workout plan, just always kind of looking like I maybe worked out today. I also LOVE these Adidas Flashback Sneaker but they are going fast!
Dolce Vita Tommi Perforated Bootie / BP Tonya Open Toe Mule / Sam Edelman Orlane Sandal / Madewell Devon Mule / Lucky Brand Yabba Wedge Bootie / Halogen Slingback Flat / Vince Darlington Flat / Nike Air Max Thea / Adidas Flashback Sneaker / Nike Blazer Low Sneaker
Best of Outerwear
If you were hoping for coats and jackets this year, then let me tell you — this sale is for you! (If you are anti-coats, then I’ll bet you hate this sale.)
I would say my number one favorite is this Boiled Wool Drape Front Coat. It is absolutely stunning on and in person. It’s instant chic and it’s actually warm. It’s such a good idea for a coat because it looks like it’s just a part of your outfit instead of a function to keep your body from hypothermia. Win-win! You can see it on me in this post here.
I love all of the active outerwear options as well! Like this Patagonia Puff Jacket, this is a really good deal that your future self, say next January? Would really thank you for. I also love this North Face Down Parka for the 15 days we need something like this.
I know for a fact I’d be counting down to fall with this fleece pullover or this Halogen Leather Moto Jacket. You are going to have to take my word on this jacket because I’ll be frank — it kind of looks not good on the model. But in person, I was *this* close to buying it. (I also love this pink moto jacket here). These are really good prices for leather, as well!
I love this yellow J.Crew Coat but just one caveat — it is not lined. If you are in a warmer climate this would be perfect for your winters! But if you need warmth, this might not get you through a cold winter. Just wanted to mention in case you order it and the lining is a deal breaker for you!
BLANKNYC Drape Jacket / Topshop Knit back Midi Coat / Woven Heart Teddy Coat / Halogen Leather Moto Jacket / Halogen Drape Front Coat / Caslon Camo Utility Jacket / The North Face Waterproof Jacket / Thread & Supply Fleece Pullover / Patagonia Nano Puff Jacket / Patagonia Sweater Vest / The North Face Down Parka / Tahari Ellie Wrap Coat / J. Crew Boiled Wool Topcoat / Halogen Boiled Wool Moto Jacket / Halogen Clutch Coat
Best of Handbags
Last but not least, handbags! On the questionnaire you guys filled out, most of the answers for the “do you buy handbags at the Anniversary Sale?” 80% of you guys said ‘only if it is a MUST have’ and I am the exact same way! I am hesitant with bags during the anniversary sale or I’ve bought a similar body the year prior! But I still like to keep my eyes open for the deals and I have found some good ones!
I would say your best leather options are always going to be Tory Burch or Kate Spade. I love this Kate Spade simple ivory tote, that looks so clean and the color is year-round friendly. This cognac leather from Tory Burch in either the Leather Tote or the Swingback Leather Crossbody is absolutely a good choice. (In fact, has anyone bought the Swingback Crossbody? Thoughts?) I also love this navy Kate Spade leather wallet! A great deal and honestly a great Christmas gift if you are looking! (I know, I know I was pushing my luck with bringing up sweaters this early and now I bring up the C word…)
In the faux leather options, I actually really like this structured backpack! I love the grey shade and I don’t know, it is just such a different look for a backpack! I also love this Sole Society faux leather tote! You can not go wrong with an everyday type tote. Or even this Longchamp tote, talk about essential!
Tory Burch Leather Tote / Nordstrom Leather Crossbody / Sole Society Backpack / Sole Society Faux Leather Tote / Tory Burch Swingback Leather Crossbody / Madewell Mini Perforated Crossbody / Kate Spade Chandra Leather Tote / Kate Spade Leather Wallet / Longchamp Expandable Tote / Nordstrom Foldover Crossbody
So that is the best of the best! What have you picked up so far, if you’ve shopped the sale?? I’d love to know your thoughts and your favorites!
