I just looked down and my calendar and just one question: How is it still January? Is this like January 49th? Longest month ever. Of course on the other hand, when you have a newborn you kind of want every month to last a little bit longer. Little Gemma is growing SO much every single day I’m already like looking back at her infant photos and crying. Seriously, who knew I’d be such a softy??

So speaking of January, longest month in history, we are in that in-between time of style where you don’t necessarily want to buy a lot of winter things and you don’t want to start buying spring items yet because you can’t wear them until March or April, if you’re lucky. But I have a trick to this style stall-out period of time: buy things for now AND for later. Like this blouse is 100% spring. Seriously look how cute the sleeves are on the model here. They are DARLING. This top is DARLING…for spring. But it’s not Spring here yet, but I just couldn’t let this top be passed by. It’s too good. So I decided to layer it with a favorite cardigan of mine and voila — it’s winter ready. (Admittedly not snow storm winter ready but mild winter day ready.)

I love a top that is unexpectedly layer ready. Surprise! At first glance, you wouldn’t think this top would work right now, but oh it does. Top with a cardigan or a denim jacket and you are good to go. You can find this darling top here!

A few people asked about my red heels from my instagram yesterday, if they were my throwback UO heels from back in the day? Well no, sadly those suede babies bit the dust a few years ago. But the love for them has stayed in my mind and I took a chance on these heels from Everlane. It’s the perfect red heel, I tell ya. Like red lips for my feet. Kind of a weird visual there, but you get me. You can find these heels here!

Fit Details

The top runs just a tad bit big, but I don’t know if I would size all the way down a whole size! This is a tricky one. It’s flowy at my true to size and if I sized down it would fit closer around my arms and the waist! So it depends on how you want it to fit! More fitted = size down one. Flowy = stay true to your size! Find the top here. Everything else fits true to size!

  1. Adorable top! And January 49th seems accurate. It’s like 80 degrees where I live. HOW IS IT ONLY JANUARY? Also, the real reason I’m commenting today is because of those RED UO HEELS FROM BACK IN THE DAY. I freaking LOVED those on you!

  2. January 49th. Dying. You are so right though, longest month ever!! The internet tells me my Nordstrom has this top in stock, which means that when I go to do my returns, it will be coming home with me. So thanks for that. 😘

  3. Such a cute outfit. What size did you get in the top. Some of the BP stuff can run small so I wasn’t sure.

    thank you!

    1. This is the medium! It definitely runs true to size, not like other BP items! I was afraid of that as well but stay true to your size!

  4. I have been dying to bite the bullet on those Everlane shoes. Are they super comfortable? I want the red ones as well #swoon.

    1. True to size. I’m in the 10s and I’m a size 10 across the board. I thought the elastic in the back would rub but it doesn’t. It does take a second to get used to the lower heel height, sounds strange but it did for me!
