Sometimes you just need to be a little bit fancy on a Thursday.

I like to call this simple chic or faux fancy. Why? Because it’s simply a tee with a skirt but it feels so chic and fancy. There’s not much to it, but sometimes those are the best outfit. I love this skirt for a few reasons. A) it’s Gemma pink, my new favorite color and B) it’s so comfortable. Chic and comfortable is hard to come by, people. So when you see it, you buy it.

I feel very sugar plum fairy in this skirt, which reminds me that we missed The Nutcracker this year. We typically go see the Nutcracker each year in early December but taking a 3.5 month old to a ballet didn’t seem like the best idea. Since it’s a tradition B and I started years ago, now that we have Gemma we can’t wait to take her, too when she is older. I can just imagine her in a little tulle skirt, just watching the ballerinas and pretending to be one, too. Don’t worry, I’ll have my tulle skirt on, too. I figure I’ve got a small window where she will actually like matching me so you better believe I’m gonna take advantage of that time frame. (For real though, I already have her matching outfit for this skirt because I am exactly who you think I am.)

All that to say if you are looking for an easy and chic outfit for a holiday party or just because this skirt is killer. It also comes in black! All under $100. You can find this skirt here!

Fit Details

The skirt fits true to size, and a tiny bit snug in the waist but not so much to size up. If you are on the shorter side, try the petite size!

Each month I create monthly capsules out of my favorite pieces, perfectly curated for each month.
