I bought this dress a month or so ago when I was still very pregnant. I was sitting there one evening on my phone, window shopping with my peanut m&m’s feeling sorry for myself. I was so ready to wear my regular clothes again and to have a baby in my arms and a waist line. Yes, I was dreaming of a waist line with a mouth full of candy. Don’t hate me cause you ain’t me. Anyways, I ended up ordering this Rebecca Minkoff dress and a few easy tops to wear after delivery. I thought this dress would work because it seemed drapey and not fitted around the waist and I was right. I, of course, tried this dress on while still pregnant and that did not go well. I do not recommend this at 10 months pregnant. (ok, ok 9 months, but it felt like 10.)

But I do recommend having something to look forward to wearing after baby. This dress was it for me; sometimes you just need a little something something to feel good in. Pretty, pink and pleated — basically everything I like in a dress. Yesterday I needed to put on my Sunday best and I reached for my pretty pink pleats. I dressed Gemma in pink too because I’m that extra and of course I did. She doesn’t know this yet but she’s got a long, embarrassing life of matching her mother’s outfits ahead of her. Say a prayer for her now.

I am all about these tassel earrings lately. I think I’ve mentioned this before but I go through weird cycles with jewelry. I’m either no jewelry at all or all the jewelry for months at a time. I’ve been eyeing earrings lately and loved the soft pink hue of these Gorjana earrings. A perfect rose hue for fall. Plus, I feel like they dress up a simple tee for when I’m not feeling fancy. I mean every day I *feel* fancy, but sometimes my leggings and tee disagree with me. 😉

Fit Details

This dress fits true to size. It’s not a fitted look, it has more of a drapey look. It’s fully lined, too!
