Happy Friday, friends! This has been the longest, shortest week ever. It flew by while feeling it it just dragged along. I love and hate short weeks for this reason. By the time I get geared up for the week, itโ€™s almost done. But no complaints here because itโ€™s almost the weekend and who can complain about that? We have a baby birthing class all day tomorrow. Iโ€™m equal parts terrified and excited. Which is exactly my thoughts on child birth.

I picked up this dress from the fabulous Nordstrom sale happening right now! (I told you I would, it was on my round up post!) I ended up going with my normal size because I liked how it showed off my bump. Iโ€™ve got plenty of dresses that are loose but this one (which from what I can tell would fit a bit looser, like a shift dress for a non-pregnant lady) fit the bill perfectly. A little bit body con, which Iโ€™ve really liked wearing this pregnancy. Who knew this flowy, loose fitting clothing lover would be so into body con? Itโ€™s just too hard not to show off this growing bump. Actually quite literally. Weโ€™ve got a summer to go, my friends. And itโ€™s already getting hot. Pray for me and my swollen-bound ankles.

So back to the dress โ€” itโ€™s on sale and it comes in two colors! I chose navy because I felt like it would work after baby as well this fall but the poppy orange color is adorable too. In fact, I decided to throw in a pop of color with my earrings as well. And when I say pop โ€” I mean it. These babies are BRIGHT and I am not mad at it.

My sandals are last year Joie but there are some very similar Joie sandals on sale now too! They have more of a wrap look, which I love as well. You can find those here.

PS: the Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale is just through this Sunday!

Fit Details

I would say the dress fits a bit big, if I’m in my normal size (medium). So size down if you’d like a more fitted look or for a looser fit, stay true to your size!

  1. That’s a beautiful dress, I love the pop of colour with the earrings against the navy! ๐Ÿ™‚

I was pregnant over summer with both boys, it was hard! Drinking lots of water, wearing dresses and my maternity denim shorts were how I got through. Sandals were impossible in the final trimester with all the swelling, haha! You look awesome though, not anything like I did over summer!

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. #winning. This. It’s casual yet dressy, the earring really set it off. Lovely way to rock the baby bump.
