Happy New Year, friends! First style post of 2017 is here and it’s already a favorite of mine. This peplum lace top is just tops, you guys. It’s been SO beautiful here the last few days, it makes me feel like spring is just around the corner and I never mind dressing for spring. I know I’ve got a few more months, but I don’t mind the sneak peek at all. This top I picked up on a whim, it was kind of lifeless on the hanger but I’m a sucker for a lace top. Once I put it on, I realized that I made a really good life choice. It’s part peplum, but not the annoying kind of peplum where you just wonder where your body is under there. And it has a slight bell sleeve, which you know this girl loves. (It’s also in black too!)

How was everyone’s holiday break? I ended up getting sick right after Christmas and I am just now feeling like myself again. (That’s why there was cricket noises around here last week, if you were wondering!) You know I don’t feel good if I am quiet on all fronts. We cancelled our NYE travel plans and decided to just take a breather for a bit.  As someone who loves to work and to connect with you guys daily, it was a struggle not feeling good enough to leave the bed let alone create a post. So I just ended up surrendering to the sickness and decided to take an unofficial social media break. (I, of course, posted just a few instagrams, because I’m a lush if anything.) And you know what? It was actually quite nice. The holidays can be so fun but so exhausting anyways it was nice to just take a break and catch up on shows and start a few books I’ll probably never finish. So that was my holiday break — a bit unplanned but honestly a much needed and welcomed pause.

I am so excited about 2017.  I feel like this year is going to be one of happiness and hopefulness and of course, lots of style coming your way. I can’t wait to start sharing what we’ve got planned for KE. I have a feeling you’re going to like it. 🙂

Fit Details

This blouse fits true to size! I’m not wearing a camisole underneath mine (the top is covered, just the midsection is sheer) but this camisole would work well underneath!

Monthly Capsule Wardrobe

Each month I create monthly capsules out of my favorite pieces, perfectly curated for each month.
