While the leaves are changing most places creating beautiful landscapes, my autumn colors usually have to come from my closet. But autumn shades are some of my favorite to wear, I find them universally flattering on everyone. Like this top’s color — call it bordeaux, cabernet, pinot — wait did I just list off types of red wine? Yes, yes I did. But you get the idea, this wine color is one of my favorites to incorporate into autumn. (As seen by these maroon booties I keep wearing all over Instagram.) It’s such a deep color that pairs with most anything. I of course think it pairs best with camel and black, but I’m always loyal to neutrals first. Spoiler alert — this top is under $50. *praise hand emoji*

This skirt was a bit of a splurge. Do you remember the time I did a post with Trunk Club and there was this really pretty floral wrap dress that I didn’t buy? It was most everyone’s favorite from the post. Well it was A.L.C. and that’s the same designer as this skirt. So apparently I like A.L.C. I decided to invest in this skirt because a) it has the best shape — I love a flare skirt and b) it’s a neutral — camel goes year round. This skirt can work it’s way through the calendar and I love that about it. (It’s hard to tell texture by photos, but it’s a think almost neoprene but not type of structure. It holds it’s shape really well but has a more knitted texture than neoprene.)

We are off on a fun trip this week and next! B and I are headed to Switzerland to enjoy some of their autumn before it quickly turns to winter. We have a few friends to see and a few mountains to climb. Just kidding, this girl doesn’t climb mountains, but I will happily pose in front of them. Follow along on Snapchat for silly (and I do mean silly — my username is kendieveryday.) updates from the trip or Instagram for our trip details!

  1. Cute top, and it’s a great piece for Fall! The skirt is really pretty as well and you can definitely pull it off, but I don’t know when I would actually wear it in “real life” since it’s so short and flared out.

  2. Switzerland! I was wondering where you were going. So awesome. Have a wonderful trip!

  3. Awww yeah! Upscale Garbage girl posts from Switzerland! I’ll be snapping you up on that 🙂 Hope you have fun!
