*Special thanks to Ann Taylor for collaborating on this post!
While we were traveling, one of my favorite outfits to wear and wear again was this one: an easy pair of shorts and a few layers to put on or take off during the warm days and cool evenings. When we travel and explore cities, I like to still feel pulled together but stay comfortable and layering always seems to be my best bet. I loved having this lightweight sweater around all weekend, it was an easy toss on if I ever got chilly. (Which is always, if we are being honest.)
This day we basically ended up having a tasting tour of the city. It was one of our last days and we realized that we didn’t get to stop and eat at all the places we had planned to. That’s the thing about Charleston — there are so many good places to eat and beautiful places to see that you will never be disappointed. We hit up breakfast first, coffee, lunch, another coffee if I’m being honest, dinner and dessert. I’m not even kidding, we were stuffed by the end of the trip but it was well worth it. Plus with walking everywhere, we felt like our double coffees and nightly deserts were well deserved. I can justify anything, especially desserts.
Back to the outfit, as I was saying I like to pack two things when I travel: dresses and layers. If an outfit isn’t a dress, then it has multiple pieces. Weather can change in an instant and I love being prepared with my overstuffed luggage.  I was so thankful I packed this pair of shorts, they came in handy for all of our exploring. And the good news is that my whole look is 50% off right now at Ann Taylor. (All of the summer styles are on sale!) Perfect pieces to take on your weekend adventures this summer. A few of my favorite pieces to pack are here!

  1. You look like a Brazilian Wonder Woman in these photos! (So I probably got the nationality wrong, but I couldn’t remember what it was for sure) 😉
Your photos from Charleston are all SO pretty. It’s been on my husband and my travel bucket list to visit. After seeing your photos, I want it checked off sooner rather than later!!
Also, I still have a post request: I’d love to know sometime how you organize your closet & how your purge and keep processes are decided and how often…
    🙂

    1. oh my gosh that makes me laugh!! You saw the snapchat!! I don’t think I ended up using any of the photos when he was talking to me, because my face was showing a lot more shock than I thought!

You are so cute to think I’m organized 😉 But I am good at purging! Both are great post ideas and I can definitely work on those! 🙂 Thanks girl for the thoughts.

      1. Now I’m laughing all over again! I thought about it that there weren’t really any of you sitting… ? ?
So Wonder Woman really does get flustered every once in awhile… ?
And, yay! Happy clap! I’ll look forward to you addressing those subjects.

  2. The print of those shorts against that pink backdrop is fantastic! I miss Charleston so much too!

  3. I’ve got total heart eyes for that beautiful hat and the colour scheme. Stunning!
