I don’t really find myself gravitating towards maxi dresses as much as a I used to. And I’d be willing to bet that I’m not alone. We are a fickle crowd and flip-flop between short dresses and long dresses from year to year. But when I find myself loving a maxi so much I want to buy it, I know it must be good. There is something about the lightweight and print of this maxi and the fact that it’s under $100 that makes me want to go on vacation STAT. And the fact that it is May also makes me want to go on vacation. And also every other month makes me want to go on vacation. Also, breathing does as well. So I don’t quite know if this dress is a travel muse or I just want a vacation, but I love the light and bright pattern and easy flow of the dress. We didn’t end up vacationing last night, but we did end up getting mexican food which is a fine last minute substitution.

Speaking of travel, we are gearing up to head out to a few places this summer that I’m excited to share with you soon! Will this maxi dress come along? Absolutely. The denim jacket can come, too.

I wear maxi dresses year round – they are a wardrobe staple for me. I do live in a more tropical climate though so that probably has something to do with it 🙂

I’ve been reading your blog since probably 2009 or 2010, and it never ceases to inspire me 🙂 You have amazingly great taste that’s relatable, attainable, and down to earth.

    1. Oh my gosh thank you! That made my day! 🙂

And I agree on the color of the dress, it’s not as dull as on the Loft site. I think they do that though, I’ve noticed a lot of their products differ in color than in person. This is a true chambray blue for sure.

  7. I totally know what you mean. Maxi’s used to be my go-to and now I don’t find myself drawn to them as mcuh but I lOVE this pattern! Might have to jump back into maxi dresses
