How is it already Monday, people? How? I feel like just yesterday was Sunday. Oh come on. Not even a Monday pity laugh for that predictable joke? I thought we were friends.
We are touring a few wineries today in Fredericksburg, so I actually can’t complain about our Monday. My brain isn’t going to have to fire off in a million directions today, as it typically does on a busy Monday. In fact, I’m hoping to shut most of the work categories of my brain off over the next few days. I like to call this a brain break, it’s very needed from time to time. So if you need me I’ll be in the winery, pretending to know something about fancy wines.
Is this not the cutest sweater? It’s actually more sweatshirt than sweater, now that I think about it. But either way, I’m mad for anything plaid. This sweatshirt is so subtle and can easily be casual or dressy. It’s a bit cropped on me, so it’s perfect layered over a button down. Speaking of button downs, this shirt gets a round of applause — it’s been a go-to for years. (They still stock and sell it at Madewell!) I’ve always been a believer in the power of a classic white button down. May they never go out of style.

  1. This is such a cute look – totally something I would wear (with a coat on top because it’s freezing here in NY)! 🙂

  2. i love that the colors you wear compliment your hair color and complexion. You stand out in your outfits!

  3. I just wanted to say that I love your posts because you always add in a bit of humor and your personality shines through. So many fashion blog posts have great pictures, but then the bloggers comments are almost painful to read. You have the best of both. Bravo and keep it up!
