Have I mentioned yet that I love autumn? Oh I have and this is the 500th time? Perfect. That means you have been reading. I knew I liked you. Seriously though — how can you not love the colors autumn provides? The warm light and the soon to be golden trees mixed with the leaves that continue to hold on to summer’s green. For me, it’s the most inspiring time of the year. I love being outside during the fall months, especially right as the sun starts to set. If I could bottle up this light, I would. But for now, I’ll just enjoy it on our porch or on our walks. It’s just too pretty to waste.
B and I bought our house a bit north from where we previously lived near our shop. As you drive north in the Dallas area, the more land you find that’s not too tucked away but still quiet and untouched. The roads we take to get to our house are windy and so calming. It reminds me again that we aren’t too far from nature, even though most of my days are spent indoors or among tall buildings. We’ve come to love our drive  home from the shop — how could you not love this landscape?
There is something about fall that also brings a bit of a more casual vibe out of my style. A lot of times my days involve a bit less casual looks, being in store, but I love embracing the layers and casual vibe of fall. Like this sweatshirt from Old Navy — doesn’t it feel like I should be relaxing in the mountains somewhere, specially Santa Fe because I want to go there soon? Exactly. I’m so glad we are on the same page.

  1. What gorgeous scenery near your home! My hometown is the same way and I adore it. It’s truly refreshing. I’ve been eyeing that sweater but was unsure if it would look “cropped” on tall girls. Now I see it doesnt!

  2. I love autumn as well…great look! I really like how you mix the different patterns 🙂

  3. This location is perfect for pics. Congrats on your new house 🙂

While I love the colour and pattern on this sweater, I feel like it’s making you look a LOT wider than you are. Not sure it’s the shape or the way you have tucked it…but maybe pairing it with a pencil skirt fully tucked in would help?

    1. I think it’s the little not-quite-tuck in the front. The sweater isn’t laying the same way it would otherwise so it looks sort of bunched and strange right there across the midsection. I think it’d look much better if it was just falling straight down and laying flat.

  4. Perfect fall vibes. I’m obsessed with your sweater!

  5. I love the feel of this, it reminds me of the “classic Kendi” we fell in love with! So happy for you, your new home, and the fresh breath of air it is for you!

  6. You look absolutely stunning in these photos. Love everything about this look!!
