I’ve decided August might be my least favorite month of the year. Tough call since January is kind of the pits. The thing about August is I want to be wearing fall clothes and layers and that is just not an option with 100 degree days. (It is an option when the A/C is full blast though! I oddly find myself dragging a jacket along places because the A/C is so cold everywhere I go. I’m not alone in this right??)
On the bright side, the thing that August has taught me is to look for transitional pieces that will work now and later. Insert this classic shirtdress. I can wear it now all by itself AND later with a jacket; probably this field jacket if I’m seeing the future clearly. Or even with booties a little bit later on. But right now I’ll stick to my sandals because the thought of me sticking my feet into hot boots makes me gag a little. October, you’re looking really, really nice right now. Like over the knee boots kind of nice. But until then sandals and simple dresses it is. Not bad options, if I do say so myself.
