While we were deciding where to shoot for this outfit it started raining, so the decision was easy: somewhere covered. Because I was not going to waste this pretty outfit on a rainy day. I will gladly sacrifice a good hair day for a good outfit post. That’s how you know you’ve been blogging for too long. My hair now looks like a wet poodle but we got pretty pictures. I feel like that’s a fair trade.
Let’s talk trousers, shall we? I’ve had these from Old Navy for a while now and I wear them when I’m feeling pants but not jeans. (Which isn’t as often as it should be. I’m always feeling jeans.) But I feel like trousers are such a good closet staple to have on hand and for any season. I bought these in fall but can easily transition them into winter and spring. Summer? Well, we will see about that. Three out of four ain’t bad. All that to say, I’ve found myself really drawn to these classic pieces to keep year round as easy go-to’s when I need a solid outfit. (I’m kind of crushing on these blue ones from J.Crew.  That color tho.)
PS: Have you seen the newest collection at West & Lou? It’s my favorite yet!

  1. You look like you belong in the window with the mannequin! Just a question out of jealousy of all your great clothes: do you wear the clothes from your store in your blogs or just ones from your closet? Jodie

  2. That tweed jacket is stunning. I need that in my life for London springtime. And I feel you on the jeans days. Mine are far too often (who made them so versatile?!)

  3. I totally agree. I work in a semi-casual environment and could get away with daily jeans if I wanted to, but trousers give a little extra oomph to an otherwise casual outfit. Love the J Crew ones you posted too!

  4. That is a really pretty jacket, such an interesting print and it looks wonderful with those blue pants 🙂 I’m not really a pants person either – if I want to wear pants I’ll go for jeans every time. My denim collection outnumbers my other pants 10 to 1, ha!

  5. Mixed prints and nude pumps? Sign me up! And I’m very impressed that you managed to get outfit photos on a rainy day…I failed at that today so let’s just all assume that I looked AMAZING because you don’t know otherwise.

  11. Simply impeccable look! You are 100% all put together lady. The contrast of the red blazer and the stripes tee and finishing with cream colored accessories is a ten.
Is this your shop in the background? it is a very nice looking place. Big hug from Paris and I’m hoping everything is well for you!
