On my hunt for a few holiday dresses this season at Nordstrom, I found this one (as seen above) and loved it from the moment my eyes met the hanger. It’s such an unexpected color for this season, so I had to really think about if this dress was right for right now. It doesn’t have sequins, sparkles, or the color red. This can’t be a holiday dress. Let me open the scene with me standing completely still while staring at this dress in a store full of people, inwardly talking to myself. ‘Can mint blue be a holiday color?’ I thought and then quickly answered myself with ‘Is Frozen a movie?‘ (*chuckles to myself*) Yes and yes. That’s when I decided, then and there, that mint for holidays is a go. Especially when paired with this dark mulberry color. I honestly just wanted a reason to use the word ‘mulberry’ today; that’s why I threw that last sentence in. Mulberry and Mint, if that’s not a high-fashion frozen yogurt place waiting to open then I don’t know anything.

I’m just going to make this rule up right now: if you want to wear it, wear it. That’s the best fashion rule there is.

  9. Hey Kendi, I fell in love with this dress and am considering purchasing it for myself, and I was just wondering about the fit, is it true to size? Thanks!

    1. It’s true to size for dresses, for sure. I have a bust so sometimes I have to size up one, but this one was just fine. If you’re a bit smaller in the chest it might be worth sizing down, but the material is stretchy so I think it’s perfect and TTS. Hope this helps!
