I’ve kind of been in a denim funk lately. When I wear out my favorite pair of skinny jeans (you know the ones, the ones that get worn 5x a week? yes those…) and they no longer keep their shape, that’s when the hunt begins. I’ve found boyfriend and distressed but I’ve been on the look for that staple, dark denim skinny jean. C.Wonder approached me about their new denim line they launched (like yesterday) and asked if I’d like to try them out. You bet your denim covered bottom I would. I picked the high waist dark skinny curvy skinny jeans, which sounds confusing but it actually works for me. They fit perfectly, are more structured / stiff than most of my other jeans but still have stretch. I wore them for two days straight and they fit the exact same on the third day. (They also fit true to size for me. I don’t typically size down in designer denim, so if you do you might want to with these but if not, stick with your size.)

This is random but I’m into the tunic / blouse out look lately. Not that I’m abandoning the beloved front-tuck, but I’m stepping out of the box with not tucking my top in. Granted a very small, boring box, but still. Baby steps right?

  1. I love blouses with jeans. THat's my outfit today. Pink blouse, skinny jeans, grey blazer.

    Agi:)

  2. I like the non-tuck! There's always a time and place for it, but I love it untucked like this – it's so flattering and elongating. Those jewel tones look great on you 🙂

  3. It's amazing what a great pair of jeans can do. Last week, I was not feeling fantastic. I had this overnight foot allergic reaction/ infection and didn't know what I would wear to be comfortable and look put together. Enter old trusty trouser ankle jeans. Also, I have always liked the untucked tunic look. It's more effortless 🙂

  4. This is such a gorgeous look on you! What a great pair of jeans! I think this dark color palette so darn lovely for this season. Bring on the tunic tops and new denim brands!

  5. Good for you on the untuck. Always trying something new is good for us.

  6. My favorite thing about you is your genius color combinations. This is another winner!

  7. The no tuck is 1,000,000,000,000x better than the tuck. Please, please, please stop doing the shame tuck. Either tuck (all the way) or no tuck. Please! I've loved everything about your style since the day I found you except for that weird semi-tuck. I've never seen this as a "thing" IRL, only on bloggers. Just my two cents!

  8. Love seeing you with the no tuck look! It makes your torso/body look longer/taller. SO happy to see the front-tuck gone, I have to say. It always kind of looks to me when I see people IRL like that that they just… forgot to finish tucking in their shirt.

That green is fantastic with your hair/skin, too!

  9. Loving the dark hues! Those jeans look great! And I always switch on and off from the no tuck and the tuck…depends how I think my legs look on that particular day 😉

  10. Oh Kendi I think you look lovely! That front-tuck was a new way to wear tops a few seasons ago but now it's everywhere (a bit like the Burberry check in the noughties!) and so it's looking a bit unoriginal & fashion victimy. I also think the out-tuck suits you better! The front-tuck makes so many of us look a bit rectangular the torso. Weirdly I started reading this post thinking you look relaxed and happy and like the Kendi I used to know (as much as anyone knows anyone they haven't actually met!) and now I'm wondering was it just the out-tuck??!!!

  11. LOVE IT! finally something more every girl than trendy! It's been forever! The post after this was great, too. I have missed your more relatable simple style – please keep bringing it back!!! We love the everyday Kendi!

  12. Sorry, by "after," I mean the Nordstrom one, which, for you, is before. 😛 it was great! I hadn't visited your blog in forever, but I think I will come back. 🙂
