I just realized that this is a very (unintentional) 4th of July outfit. I’m usually not on top of holidays and they sneak up on me before I can get a ‘how to dress for a holiday’ post up. But look at me, a week ahead of myself and I didn’t even mean to do it.  I think I just like the combination of white and denim and then red and white. There really isn’t anything more classic than red, white and blue combination now is there? 
I bought this top a while back for Paris — doesn’t it just seem Parisian? I had loved it for a while as I’d seen it on a few other ladies and then I found it at Shopbop a few weeks before our trip. (By the way you can ship via Amazon prime and get your order in just 2 days from Shopbop. Just throwing that out there…) I wore this top when we visited the Eiffel Tower, literally just for pictures sake. There was no way that I was going to take a picture with such an iconic piece of architecture and not look put together. That would be just wrong. The rest of the time I slummed it a little, but I owed it to the Eiffel to look good.

  10. Question… Kendi, I am off to Montreal next week and would love some ideas for day outfits. There will be lots of walking so I suppose shorts and sneaks are a must but ugh!

  16. What a lovely outfit! Before I read your script I was thinking 'how French'. (Think Juliette Binoche in Trois coulers; bleu, blanc rouge!) Indeed Bastille Day is July 14. You are dressed for any event coming up! Maybe your heart in in the USA and your heart is in Paris. Le sigh!

  28. I love the fit of those boyfriend jeans on you! What size did you get to achieve that fitted but loose-ish look? Also, when I clicked on the link, it went to the "tall" tab…did you get these in "tall" b/c I think we're about the same height!

  39. I actually sized up one size so that they would be a bit looser than the my actual size. And I think these are just the regular one — sorry for linking the tall! 🙁
